I bought this camera 4 Years ago and It I believe it?s the best VLogging Camera around. It is very portable, inconspicuous, excellent video quality, excellent audio, it can be carried in your jean pockets and has a flip out Selfie Screen. I don?t know why Canon has stop manufacturing this awesome product. With more people VLogging and creating YouTube videos, I believe if this camera is still  being made, many people will definitely buy it. It will be great if Canon will create an updated version with 4K. I will definitely line up to buy it!!

I have bouht one three years ago and i'm so pleased with its Performance. I want to buy a New one but I have found out that it is discontinued. Hope it is again placed into the market. Please let me know If you are going to reissue a new Version of the Vixia Mini X Video camera.

Got this camera last summer took it on vacation this camera is used by many vloggers and it is so capable. So much options wish they would come out with some more guides for all the features awesome time lapse  etc

Very good

It is great for daily recording and traveling. The foot eliminates the need for a tripod and the screen, eliminates the need to connect it to a mobile phone, which is always  a hassle with every devise I have tried. Sound is great, it has a mic input so can use this also as an audio recorder. The wide angle is perfect, it captures my family of 4 at small restaurant table. I'm crossing my fingers they do not discontinue this camera. I recently bought the Keymission 80 hoping to update my Mini X but it just felt short on all the things I listed above. Thanks Canon.

This camera is old but i have 6 for streaming and i'm hoping they come out with an updated one soon because their hard to find!

IT EXCELLENT IN QUALITY IMAGE AND USE.  THE HDMI OUTPUT IS CLEAN AND UNCOMPRESSED.

THE MENU STYLE IS THE SAME THAT OTHERS VIXIA CAMCORDERS, WHAT is very usefull if you, like me, have a bigger model of this line. in my case, a vixia hf g30.

this is the best option for a second camera... "just in case"

plus, im using in home videos, not feeling the lack of options of his "bigger sister" that is so big and expensive i never useit for family videos, but this have the best of two worlds.  and is A BETTER CHOICE THAN A GO PRO!!

GIVES YOU EVERYTHING IT PROMISES

Well, after few months of using this camera i'm really waiting for any firmware update. Time-lapse mode - just a joke, Thousands MOV files 1 sec long, really? Why not just a single video or full resolution jpegs? Look at GoPro or other action cameras - you can't find anything like that. Editing in post - just a mess. Time-lapse mode freeze the camera after 30 min shoot. Very long startup and shutdown time. No way to turn off the screen or lock the touchscreen. Menu structure is very wired compare to dslrs (this is my first vixia, sorry. No usb port charging option. No option to get a clear screen, by default like a 80% covered by icons, numbers, indicators, frames, markers etc. Will be awesome to get something in the middle of the portrait and wide modes, even if without stabilization.

Firmware update needed

Have had it for less than a week. Read the manual back and forth..,again and again. I am slowly getting used to all the functions. Picture is EXCELLENT...sooo much better than the ZOOM Q3HD I had before. You can't even talk about them on the same day!
The audio mix function is...FANTASTIC. There, I said it.
The built in mice are excellent, too.

You can lock exposure and manually adjust white balance, BUT you do NOT have independent control over the ISO, Aperture, and Shutter speed. Those are all on automatic and you never know your exposure values. This makes no sense to me because you can do this on almost all other Vixia cameras.

Can't find the ability to turning off the screen or hide elements on screen (like INFO button on DSLR cameras)

Great camcorder!

I think this little camera is good, but it needs a couple of improvements. Main issues I had was not being able to turn off the screen while I'm recording. The screen is touchscreen so you have to be very careful not to touch anything while you're recording The other problem I had was not being able to flip the screen and hide it while you record. There always a potential for scratching the surface of the screen while recording.
Other than that I think I think it records pretty sharp and easy to carry.

Good Product on the making

Having used may of ultra portable video camera for on location documentation, by far this is easiest and most user friendly ultra portable video camera. The video/audio is excellent and easy to transport into your computer for post-processing. I just wish it has some light weather resistance and also the ability to turn off the LCD screen during recording. I highly recommended for on the go recording.
