In the rapidly advancing world of LED lighting it's overwhelming to make a decision on any new instrument.  Many companies offer RGB panels now that are incredibly inexpensive, and then there's the Kino-Flo Diva LED.  And as soon as I fired this baby up and went through the full spectrum of controls and effects I have to say that I love this light and consider it a value - even at this price point.  I work mostly in documentary and need a light that can hold up to the rigors of travel; quick setup; and (I hope!) longterm reliability.  This light packs easily; is relatively lightweight; and IMO will never really become obsolete.  I'm sure the price for these will be cut in half within 3 years but that's the nature of the beast we work in.  Kino-Flo is a brand I trust and they certainly seem to have set a bar for lights in this category.

worth it

I was never a fan of the fluorescent Diva lights. However I have to admit to feeling quite the opposite about the new 21. Not only does it just look beautiful on people’s faces, even without the snap bag, and put out a lot of light for its size, but it’s a fantastic unit for the large amount of travel work I do with its well designed case.
