I have nothing to compare this item to. But I've always been happy with Celestron's products, I see no acception here.

I'd buy it again.

No sure it I got a faulty one or not. The image shows threads which would allow it to be used with Barlow's etc . The one I got had the glass so close to the top of the metal surround that it can't be used with cameras other filters or anything else I was hoping for
