used this on an a7r2 with an otus 55 solid for 1to 2 months then loose on camera side of mount

Solid pice of kit. Make sure it is seated all the way when attaching it to the camera and lens. Do this and all is good.

This adapter is Top Notch. Is all made of metal and fits perfectly well on the Nex-5 and on the Nikon glasses.

The adapter has an aperture ring, so you can control the aperture even if your glass does not have a dedicated aperture ring, like the G lenses.

I tested it with a  Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S ED VR II and with a Nikon 50mm f/1.4G.

The adapter worked great on the 50mm glass... its just great. 

But using it with the 18-200 was not... on smaller apertures the image is too dark and you have to compensate with larger shutter speed numbers and greater ISO´s... even a tripod is recommended to avoid blurred images

I think this adapter is great if you want to use lenses that are in the range of F1.4 to F2 .... maybe up to 3.5 if you want to operate your camera without a tripod, but that would not have sense as the Nex-5 stronger point its portability.

Its a great buy but only on larger apertures.
