Amazing customer service!

I love this camera!  It's light and compact. Images are crisp. The post processing color is different compared to my 5D mark iii. It will take a little getting used to. But definitely worth the change.

Nice camera, easy to shoot right out of the box. For .e and others like me who have a good bit of film experience and some earlier digital experience this is quite a nice leap and might be aided by some brief notes on how we can take advantage of the changes.

I waited a long time to enter the mirrorless world. This was my first mirrorless body. It's good, but I missed having the more robust pro-level equipment. So I bought the r3, and now this r6 will be my 2nd body on jobs.

Very disappointed to have no response to the issue of shutter blackout. This occurs when shooting high speed in sporting events or nature in flight for example. THIS IS NOT a problem with my 7D. I use a 70-200 L IS lens and cannot afford to lose shots because of shutter blackout through the view finder or on screen. Don't make this mistake... You have been warned!

I love this camera. I just recently purchased this and used it to photograph a gorgeous wedding. I love that it does not weigh as much as my Mark IV and the focus is incredible. The photos turned out terrific and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I also took a drive on a back road here and came across a den of Kit Foxes and was able to capture the most lovely photos of them.

I've shot on an EOSR for the past couple of years and the difference is night and day. The autofocus and inbody stabilization are amazing. If you're on the fence, go ahead and pick one up. Paired with my RF28-70 F2 this thing is a beast!

Great camera at a great price. I have two EOS R cameras and one EOS D Mark II. One of the R's was being repaired when the R6 was offered at a big discount. I had seen reviews and needed another sports camera so I jumped at the R6. It works fine for my regular newspaper freelance jobs and will give me the high frame rate and no blackout for sports. Good choice.

This camera is working perfectly as someone who is working on becoming a photographer but is on a very limited budget.

Good Camera

I shoot everything from products to portraits and Canon has come through again.  The R6 has been my go-to camera since it was released. This camera combined with any of the Pro Level RF Lenses it truly something special. My kit bag has 2 of them in it and I want a third.

My Go To Camera

I mainly use my camera to capture high school sports and if you know anything about high school sports, it's that the lighting is horrid, but this is where the R6 absolutely performs. I have comfortably captured baseball games at night while being in 5000+ ISO and still have delivered fantastic shots. Or indoor wrestling, in a poorly lit gym, with bodies being contoured in every way imaginable and having to wait for that split second when the wrestler breaks free, puts on a hold, or gets the pin, again this camera delivers. The autofocus is fantastic. It nails shot after shot and I'm usually stuck in post trying to select my favorite because it rarely misses.

The R6 is replacing my heavily used and trusted 5DIII and 5DIV bodies with no issues so far.

Awesome camera

When this camera works it is great, but it has been very unreliable. I had focusing issues with it especially after updating software and have had to send it to the shop 3 times. Each time Canon said they couldn't find anything wrong, reinstalled software and each time it then worked correctly when I got it back. I feel like Canon does not want to admit this camera has issues. The electronic viewfinder also freezes fairly frequently and I have to take battery out and replace it to fix. I've never owned a camera with this many issues. So very unhappy about its unreliability, but when it works correctly it is pretty amazing. I am a bird photographer and the eye focus control is a game changer. Doesn't work well in some situations, but use other focusing methods for small birds perching in bushes. Not great focusing in low light either. Hope they can make some improvements on this camera to make it more reliable.

Unreliable Camera

Had the same hot shoe problem as everyone else right around a year. It's sad that Canon won't fix this for free, when it is clearly a manufacturer defect. I'm using a trigger, so it wasn't even a heavy flash attached that loosened the screws. If you don't need a working hotshoe, it's a great camera.

Great camera. I can't shoot at lower shutter speeds becuase of my shaky hands I can now with this camera. Colors are great and it was a huge upgrade from my Canon 60d

Great full frame camera

I love this camera. The focus is so accurate. I second shot a wedding and the other photographer was blown away at the SOOC. She liked these photos better than from her camera (different brand). I primarily photograph weddings and studio work (mostly newborn) and it is crystal clear in every scenario.

Incredible and Powerful Camera

I purchased the Canon R6 after owning my Canon R for 3 years. Based on my experiences, lower pixel counts can sometimes yield better useable resolution at high ISO levels as noise can mask pixel count resolution. 

The Canon R6 focuses extremely fast and accurately on the eyes of people, animals and birds. Its low light performance produces very sharp images even with high ISO levels with the bonus that files sizes are easy to manage vs the file sizes of 50 MP alternatives. ( Clearly in studio work with good lighting more pixels are beneficial but this is not my use case ). I tend to use the Fv mode which allows the camera to balance ISO, shutter speed and aperture while allowing you to over ride the camera at will. I was surprised that my test photos are clearly sharper than my Canon R even though it has fewer pixels. I do recommended the Canon R6.

Great Experience

I've had my R6 for over a year and have had to repair the wobbly hot shoe 4 times now. I've spent thousands of dollars in repair and rental. It's been an ongoing issue for other professional colleagues in my city as well. I'm scared to carry my camera in a holster or hanging from a suspender strap because the hot shoe pops off from the slightest bump.
