I love this camera! Especially the fact that in awkward positions I can adjust the screen and still see what I am taking a picture of. For the price the quality is amazing! I am not a professional photographer but I feel like I could be with this camera. You will need to download the app to see the picture best.

Great camera!

Been a long time since I have had or used a camera, but I have a friend who has this camera & she loves it, so I thought that I would give it a try !

Just got it, haven?t used it yet, but I have a friend that has it & swears by it !

I have a DSLR that I use but my husband bought this for me to take on a trip since I didn't want to take my expensive camera equipment. I love it. It makes great photos. Honestly, many of the photos are as good as those shot with my DSLR; however, sometimes the colors are a little off. It's a fun little camera. I put it on a tripod and use the zoom and macro features. Makes great bird photos too. Very good grip and light weight. Tilt screen helps with macro shots. And who doesn't like a shiny red camera.  Only complaint would be the AA batteries.  Have to make sure I always have a supply on hand. Helps if you remember to take them out of the camera after each time you use it.

The camera worked just fine got a good picture .. got a good picture and than could inlarge and put it on my pc . Workd great.

Coolpix B500

For the time I have had the COOLPIX B500, I have loved almost everything about it. I've only been taking pictures for a couple of years now, so I'm still learning. The picture quality was really good but like other cameras the farther you go the more 'fuzzy' it gets. The options that you get with it is a great way to really get to know how to take a great picture. The movable screen has saved my on many occasions with taking a picture on a difficult angle. The only thing I had problems with is sometimes my camera won't turn on. It has happened to me more than I like but other than that I've really enjoyed this product. I recommend this for anyone who is getting into photography or wanting to try it out.

It's an amazing beginner camera!

I bought this camera to take to Europe with me in April. I love that it takes standard batteries. In the meantime of travel, I've discovered the moon setting. I've captured some of the most beautiful moon pics I've ever seen. It is very easy to hold as I have small hands but long fingers. The clarity of the pictures is really great too. I've recommended this camera to several people

Nikon CoolPix

The only reason I gave this camera 4 stars instead of five, is because SnapBridge doesn’t work with IOS 13.1, and to be honest that is one of the main reasons I purchased it, is so I could transfer the photos and videos to my IPhone, instead of having to use my home computer every time, but after purchasing I found out it won’t work with IPhones using IOS 13.1, and I have read several reviews with people complaining about this, and Nikon claims their working on a firmware update to fix this, but as of yet nothing has been done!! It’s really to bad because this little camera takes great photos, and videos, it’s really easy to use, has a auto setting for photos, and videos, that I have found is the best setting to use on the camera to take the best photos in all situations, I spent two days reading the whole manual, and there is a unlimited amount of settings you can change, but after playing around with different settings, I found that the best photos and videos, are taken using the auto setting.

This camera will not connect as advertised. They will keep us posted to a fix but currently not what I had expected. Will re-write a review if and when the fix is in and it works. Currently disappointed in the camera.

Beware of WiFi and IOS 13.1.3

Great zoom range and ISO range. Lets me take pictures in all kinds of environment. I have a large DSLR but wanted a smaller camera for family events and outings and this one exceeds my needs. Sure glad I purchased it.

I like the Nikon B500

Great starter camera. Using it to teach my 8 yr old granddaughter to photograph. Simple to use but useful for basic training. Price was fair. CMera works well

A good starter camera

Way more exciting and better than words could ever say! This little bundle of joy has it all. Want to capture the eye of an eagle across the canyon, it can do it! Want to take a portrait and add effects, it can do it! Anything I have tried to do with it, I've been able to do. We are heading to Alaska and cannot wait to take this light-weight package of high-tech imagination with us. Anyone who wants a fantastic camera without the heavy weight should purchase this one. We have the upper model already, but all the gear that goes with it and the heavy weight, preclueded taking it on this trip. Thank goodness we found our COOLPIX B500!

Greatest camera ever!

great little camera

This might sound weird, but the primary reason I picked this was because of the color. This was a birthday present for my wife. I knew she didn't want basic black. She loves it. It's a deep wine-ish burgundy. But the ergonomics are great too. We're older folk and this thing fits in our hands perfectly.

Did I mention that it takes great pics? We love this thang.

I’m a longtime fan of Nikon cameras. I grew weary of toting around a camera bag a long time ago, and “traded down” to a small point and shoot. They have their place, but I wanted more control and functionality without the luggage of multiple lenses. My research led me to the B500 which is a wonderful solution! In just a few weeks I’ve been thrilled with the images I’ve captured. The price is right, and the Nikon quality that I value is apparent. Thank you for creating exactly the camera I needed.

The photo review button is inconveniently placed because it is easily activated by inadvertently touching it when shooting photos or when just handling the camera. This button is located in a better place on my Nikon DSLR cameras.

This camera does exactly what I needed it to do my only complaint is that it is difficult to tell when the camera is off so I have burned through some batteries.

Love it!

I did a lot of research before I purchased. I decided to get a bridge camera because I was not purchasing just for vacation pictures but to dabble in creative photography. It is a little bulky for that reason. The telephoto len is great. To get the most from it you really have to experiment with the camera. So if you are looking for a basic point and shoot this is not for you. When you use the telephoto len to the max the picture quality decreases and the "stabilizer" slows meaning it takes time to focus. If it is a small target far away the quality is not great. But for close up targets or large distant subjects it is great. I recommend on those grounds.

This camera does a fine job for being and auto camera. Anyone can take good photos with it.

Love this camera, easy to use. Can drop it in my purse to use when going out. Takes great telephotos and close ups. Now i don't have to take my DSLR out all the time. Yay me!

I had been contemplating getting a new better camera for a long time and had been eyeing this one during that time... I was attracted to the look of it and the features, especially the incredible zoom, and it's reasonable price. All of those expectations were met and them some. My wife and I like bird watching and this camera does a great job zooming in and grabbing them! I am enjoying it very much! Nice product!
