I bought this camera for my 10 year old daughter for around [$]. For what I paid, you can't beat it. It's pretty much point and shoot, but there are multiple white balance settings and shooting modes for portrait, sports and night shots. There is no optical zoom, but with image stabilization, the 8mp shots are sharp enough for cropping. My daughter loves it- she says it's light, easy to use and takes good pictures. This is not a camera for a serious photographer, but for tweens and teens, it's well worth the money.
