Benro A-150EXU Features

  • Adjustable Leg Angles: For an extra measure of flexibility, Benro tripod legs can be independently locked into place at three different angles to enable shooting in cramped quarters, on irregular surface areas, or at ground level.
  • Quick Lock Leg Levers with Anti-Rotation Leg System: Tripod height can easily be set by a flip of the quick lock leg levers, which combined with anti-rotation legs enable fast and fumble-free set-up.
  • Retractable Rubber Feet: Rubber feet retract to expose steel spikes to insure your tripod sits solid on almost any terrain.
  • Split Center Column: The center column can be split so it is shortened for low level photography.
  • Reversible Center Column: The center column can be quickly inverted for exacting, lower angle camera positioning.
  • Dual-Lock Quick Release System: Matching Ballhead incorporates a bubble level and a patented dual lock-lever that makes it easy to mount your camera via an oversize QR plate to the head, while preventing any chance of accidentally unseating the camera.
  • Wingnut Style Column Lock: A wingnut style center column-locking knob allows for secure, intuitive-action height adjustments on the fly.
  • Closed Cell Foam Grip: A thick layer of closed-cell nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) provides a comfortable yet firm grip when carrying your tripod.
  • Integrated Bubble Level: Allow adjustment to prevent uneven pans and tripod head movements.

One of the best travel / hiking tripods

The Benro is a pretty solid tripod that is super light weight and compact for travel and or hiking/backpacking. It's well built with quality aluminum materials and is quite stable. It's one of the best tripods I own for the price I paid. The included ball head performs surprisingly well and locks your camera in position provided that you're not mounting anything massive or too heavy for the tripod. It was my first travel tripod and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another...

Nice light and solid

I wanted a light yet sturdy carry around tripod that would get very low. for me this fits the bill. well made. I particularly like the two section/reversible center column . The ball head is basic, but will get the job done. I replaced mine with a 3 pro for a bit better control and to handle a bit more camera weight. the head that came with the tripod I've put on a mono pod where it is a more at home. within it's weight limitations it is a very good tripod. wouldn't recommend this for a big DSLR with long lens, down low it is sturdy enough on a calm day for a fairly heavy medium format camera with a wide lens. if you are looking for a nice light low tripod this is nice. If you need one that will extend for standing, windy days, or long lenses then look for something heavier.

I have been shopping with Adorama since they had a black&white printed catalogue and carried only photography items -- but things have changed exponentially in over thirty years.

Outstanding tripod!

I bought this as a gift for my brother and had to try it out. I like everything about it. Lightweight, easy to set up. I liked the fact that you can remove center post and get your camera down low for a different type of look. Very sturdy unit.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
Rodolfo V. S  lightweight and compact. As seen from the photo, you can shoot from a few inches from the ground. Excellent value for money!
Kevin B  Does the center column have a hook on the end of it so you can hang a pack to keep the tripod steady in windy conditions?
ROBERT D  No. But it does have a sturdy plastic screw cap on the end. You could easily drill a hole in it to attach a hook.
Shopper  Can you take off the ball head and replace it with a different brand one?
ROBERT A  I have no idea. I have been quite happy with the tripod though. Rob A
