I got this scope for wildlife viewing (+photography) and for basic astronomy (as a beginner telescope). I spent a while researching the options and Celestron got consistently good reviews. I went with the "midgrade" Trailerseeker over the Ultima for the optical upgrades (lens coatings and BAK-4 prism). Quick impressions: the 100mm objective is huge! I haven't used it much yet, but it definitely beats the zoom of my binoculars. I got a nice view of the moon last night - the detail from the lens was great although I was limited by the shakiness from my tripod. My tripod works fine for cameras but the 5 or pounds of lens (plus the tilt angle for astronomy) were too much for it. The other reviews that say you need a good tripod for this scope are right on; I'm going to have to get a better one to get the most out this scope. I was also happy it came with the T-mount - I added a T-ring to my order for my Canon DSLR and verified they join nicely. Still need to learn how to set the camera settings to get good shots with it. Overall I'm quite pleased with the level of optics for the money. I'm looking forward to years of fun with it.
