Think Tank Features

  • Roller meets all International carry on size requirements: Although passengers are rarely asked to put their roller into airline test "frames", you will travel with peace of mind knowing that this roller is designed to fit
  • TSA combination lock to lock zipper: Although it is always recommended that you carry on your valuable photo equipment, this roller comes with a "TSA" combination lock that can be used to secure the main zipper, should you have to check gear
  • Front Security Cable & Lock: Front security cable & combination lock allows you to lock a laptop to the front of your roller. This lock is very effective when you are traveling with a laptop case stored in the front stretch pocket
  • Back Security Cable & Lock: Security cable & combination lock allows you to lock it to immovable objects. This security cable is very effective when you have to leave your gear for a period of time in a media room, wedding hall, hotel room, or other open area
  • Security Plate: The Security plate may allow your lost or stolen bag to be returned! Before using your bag, register your unique serial number on the website at www.thinktankphoto.com/lostandfound
  • Holds a full DSLR kit: The roller will hold two pro-size DSLR's, as well as an assortment of lenses and other accessories. Although in this photo it shows a 300 2.8, it will also hold a 400 2.8 and a 500 f4
  • Optional Artificial Intelligence 15 or 17 laptop cases slide in front pocket: The advantage is that the roller looks smaller, even when the laptop case is inside the pocket. If for some reason you do need to weigh the bag, you can remove the laptop case, making the roller lighter and smaller
  • Optional "Low Divider Set": The optional low divider set lets the lower section be 2" lower than normal, allowing the Artificial Intelligence 15 or the Cable Management 50 to lay on top
  • Clear organizer on the inside for essentials: The inside of the lid has organizers to store all the other stuff you need to carry that you don't want lost - like your Pixel Pocket Rocket, press passes, pens, pencils and much more
  • Replaceable wheels and protective wheel housings: If you wear out the wheels, a free kit is provided so that you can replace the wheels. The wheels being located on the very outside of the bag makes it very stable when rolled. The wheel housings are extra high, to protect your case
  • Front stretch pocket: If you are not using the front stretch pocket to hold a laptop case, it is an excellent pocket to get quick access to jackets, newspapers, paperwork and other items you need to pull out quickly
  • Front Pocket Organizer: The zippered front pocket can be used for storing items like pens, pencils, card wallets, CD's, notepads and more
  • Business card holder/top pocket: For easy identification, a business card holder is located directly under the handle. It holds quite a few cards. There is also a zippered pocket under the handle that can hold your passport and other items
  • Pick it Up: Rollers are heavy. A handle on the bottom to helps you when picking it up and putting it into your car, truck, or in the overhead bins on busses, trains and airplanes

Excellent travel bag

I have tried a number of camera bags and this one is for me the best. The size is perfect as it holds a lot of equipment but does qualify for international airline carry on. Ok bag..

Good quality bad but not as large as you might think. My biggest complaint about this bag is that the handle is useless..If you extend it to roll the bag there is no locking mechanism (that works) that keeps it at that length if you let go. It just falls back down EVERY time..So annoying..

Great Bag

By

from Plano, TX  -  Classic

Others have commented on the quality of the bag, this review is about the company that stands behind it. I own a Retrospective, Urban Disguise, Streetwalker Pro, and now an Airport Roller, plus a few Pocket Rockets and Cable Management bags. I had a problem with fitting my equipment in the Airport International v 2.0. The truth is I could not get my Nikon D800 and Nikon D3s bodies to fit as is shown on the photos shown on the website. I contacted customer service at ThinkTank, they could have just said just put them somewhere else in the bag, but instead they were prompt, courteous, informative, and helpful. They were fully committed not to how things fit in the bag, but with my satisfaction with how they did. They agreed to ship me the larger Airport Security without advance payement and provided a shipping label to return the Airport International bag after I received the new larger bag. Now that's a quality company that not only stands behind its products, but their customer's satisfaction as well. Count me as a customer for life.

Nice bag for rolling your gear around

By

from Arizona  -  Practical

I got this bag for an international trip. I did a test run before I went on the trip. I liked that I fit a lot of gear into the bag. This bag will work well if you are using a back pack for your clothes but when you have a suitcase and this bag you still have to maneuver through doors, escalators and all those other hazards you find at air ports. I didn't even make it to the gate on my outbound flight and had two people trip over the bag. I had my computer in the sleeve and it was very unprotected. I can't tell you how many people kicked the bag but it seemed as if the bag and my computer were a target. I had trouble getting the bag into the overhead. It was a really tight fit and I had the bottom of my computer facing out and the rubber feet wouldn't slide easily into the compartment. I don't like the way you can only put your camera up by the handle because of the 'hump' created buy the handle. If you get the computer insert pieces, that you have to pay extra for, then you lose space for gear. That being said I hear now airlines are weighing carry on luggage, so if your gear is over so many pounds you won't be able to put it in the overhead compartment. Since I bought this bag I discovered a Video of how easy it is to defeat a zipper with a ball point pen. Myself I've relegated my bag to at home storage of lenses and bodies that are my back up equipment. I think because of this bag I've greatly modified how I carry my equipment and how I pack in general. Just remember if you have a large rolling suitcase and this rolling bag it is all great until you have to go through a narrow train door or get on an escalator. Also people in air ports are not paying attention to small rolling bags. Just something to think about.

thinkTANK simply ROCKS

By

from South East  -  Pro-hobbyist

thinkTANK simply makes awesome products....and while there is no 1 bag that works for every situation, the AIRLINE INTERNATIONAL is simply an absolutely awesome bag. Lightweight, sturdy handle and super slick wheels allow you to pull a good bit of gear around- Sure, the bag can get heavy, but that's why you buy a bag with wheels! Slim profile for allowable storage on planes I can easily pack (2)D3s bodies, 50 Prime, 85 Prime, 14-24, 24-70, 70-200, (2) Speedlights, Light meter, batteries, etc....plus a laptop. It includes great security features (at least what you could expect) and withstand years and years of use on the road. .....and not only do the bags rock, but so do the guys at TT as well. Simply awesome products....

Expensive but a very good bag

By

from New York, NY  -  Career

First off, this is a VERY nice bag; The quality is top notch. I started by purchasing an F-Stop backpack, which was also of a very high quality. Once I received the backpack and filled it up with all of my gear, I realized it was just NOT suited to my needs. I wanted something to basically store ALL of my hear at home and something that could carry all of that gear off to a photo shoot or trip. I decided to go the suitcase route and for me it is a much better option. Although the size allows it to be used for International carry-on, it is amazing how much gear it can hold. I wish it had a better set of pockets for small items like cables, cards, batteries, etc. Just to give you an idea, I have the following packed and ready to go: Nikon D7000 with battery grip attached Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 with hood Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 with hood Nikon 105mm macro with hood Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 with hood Nikon DX 35mm with hood Nikon DX 50mm with hood Nikon 18-200mm with hood Nikon SB700 flash with extras Nikon SB600 flash with extras Ring flash for my macro lens Pair of PocketWizards Sekonic Lightmaster Pro Digital Lens cleaning kit BlackRapid strap Set of Lastolite 8in1 32" reflector Batteries, memory cards, odds and ends.

Perfect camera bag!!!

By

from Parsippany NJ  -  Modern

Great bag overall. Perfect size, so you don't overpack too much gear which would make the bag very heavy. Listed as International flight compatible. it has many adjustable dividers which are well-padded and very easily adjustable. The cut out dividers for the two Camera Bodies with lenses is great! The ONLY CON to this bag is the outer NON PADDED sleeve for laptops. I found that I had to either use an existing neoprene sleeve for my laptop, or buy the Think Tank Artificial Intelligence laptop case. The existing sleeve simply contains the laptop, but offers no protection. This is a minor point considering the rest of the great features of this bag!
