I purchased this bag to replace my Streetwalker Hard Drive backpack, which had served me well for over a decade but grown too heavy with gear to comfortably travel with. The Roller Derby glides like a dream, and features the same high quality construction I've come to love and expect from Thinktank. The only problem I had with the bag was the dividers. The configuration it ships with is not well suited for my kit. Instead of a central main lens support, it has two side by side cradles. I appreciate the thought behind this, it may work well for those travelling with multiple bodies and smaller glass, but it made it impossible for me to pack my usual gear. As a birder/photographer, I use one primary rig- a gripped Nikon body mounted to a 500mm 5.6 pf lens. In the Streetwalker, it was easy to have this centrally positioned, with Swarovski binoculars and scope on either side, and plenty of additional room for batteries and other accessories. The dual cradle makes this simply impossible. Maybe it could be done if I unmounted my lens, but I need it ready to go when time is of the essence. Ultimately, I repurposed the dividers from the Streetwalker in the Roller Derby, and thankfully it now does just what I need. I would have otherwise needed to return the bag. So I would caution anyone with a similar setup to mine who does not have spare dividers to utilize. In general, I would like to see Thinktank offer more divider choices when purchasing the bag.

I have yet to travel to travel with the Airport Roller Derby V2, but it will have its maiden voyage from the US to South Africa in a week. I have packed it and was able to get my 2 camera bodies ( Canon R1, Canon R5 w/battery grip) RF 100-300mm f/2.8, RF 15-35 f/2.8, battery charger for R1, 3-batteries for R1, 4 batteries for R5, EF 1.4x and RF 1.4x extenders, 4TB SSD, power strip and conversion plug, plus a lot of smaller accessories, and my MacBook Pro 14". love the ease of pulling it around with the 4 wheels, and I will have my 600mm f/4 V3 in it's own case sitting on top of the Roller Derby. This will make it much easier for me to travel with my wildlife photo equipment. Very pleased so far.

I have traveled extensively with my last Airport security, sadly it was stolen in a studio break in so I didn't hesitate to replace with a new Thinktank . Built to last longer than I could keep it.

I am a retired photojournalist and still love to shoot pictures. For over 50 years I have used every conceivable camera bag, from Leica to Domke to LowePro and even ThinkTank. These days I don't want to carry a lot of gear, but I travel a lot?over 40 countries in the past 10 years. I can't do backpacks anymore so I decided to try the 4-wheel roller. It is remarkable engineering. Everything I need fits inside. I can go from 18mm to 1200mm with my lenses and have room for chargers laptop, iPad, and more. Wonderful design. And the 4 wheels are pure heaven when going through airports.

Very well constructed, I was able to fit two camera bodies and my 800mm lens. I also like the wheels and that it has a front zipper. It is customizable to your equipment, so you can play with it to make sure all your gear fits.

I bought this 'bag' prior to Christmas in order to test it before using it on longer, international, and important shooting gigs. Happily, it was superb and one of the best camera bags I've bought [btw, I've bought a lot ! :-) ] Having a true 'spinner' camera bag is so nice in airports and moving around! I had an unintentional 'incident' where the bag fell out of the back of my taxi/SUV at the airport once we stopped and opened the back hatch. The bag survived super well, and it protected the equipment inside completely! So, I highly recommend this bag! I might only wish that it had 'back pack' straps like the larger 2-wheel rollers. These are nice to have when the ground is not good for wheels. Otherwise, great bag!

I got it just to take a trip to Tahiti so I could take my camera equipment and not have to struggle with my two wheel case. It fit all my cameras including the DSRL, lenses, Go Pro and accessories, two Nikon underwater camera. Wheeled smoothly and carried my backpack without a problem. The four wheels made it effortless to get around the airport and the island
