I purchased the kit with the controller and transceiver and four additional transceivers for Nikon. This gives the ability to fire five flashes. I was able to set-up the controller and transceivers in just a few minuets without difficulty and I really didn't need to read the directions. I use this set up to take multiple high speed flash pictures of hummingbirds and to set-up multiple flashes for cave photography. The ability to use a radio signal to fire the flashes is much more reliable than an optical system as the controller and transceiver do not have to in a direct line-of sight. The radio signals have a greater range than optical systems. Also with optical systems you have to be sure that the sensor can read the master flash. This is often difficult and results in flash misfires. I have several friends who use this same set-up with Canon equipment and it also works well. I recommend this product without reservation.

They work well enough. You need to remove the batteries after use because it is suuuuper easy for things to get turned on bouncing around in your bag and then you have drained batteries when you need them. I do get some missed flashes from time to time. This is either because the transmitter needs to be re-seated on the hot shoe or the flash I'm using with the receiver is being bad and does not want to jive right. I also use the transmitter with my Yongnuo YN586 and it has never missed a flash. Very reliable. The only other issues I have with this setup is the way the transmitter locks onto the cameras hot shoe. It has this twist knob that can get REALLY stuck sometimes and becomes very difficult to untwist when you want to remove it. I had to use pliers to get it to loosen. I combat this by just lightly tightening it down. It would be better if it had a lever lock.

So far these triggers have worked really well and for the most part have been easy to use. My one issue with them is that there is a recommended software upgrade that was not all that easy to install because I am on a Mac. The upgrade appears to only work on PCs. Also the cord needed for the upgrade is not included. (I used the cord that came with my GoPro.) This may be a situation where you get what you pay for, but in general these triggers are a very good value, and after upgrading the software I have had no trouble with them at all.

I've found this Yongnuo flash slave really easy to work with. Subtle tweaks are easily adjustable. Also working great with Yongnuo 568 flash for Nikon.

Over all so far I like them a lot. Easy to use. The only con so far is it's very easy when your using it as a remote camera trigger to change the settings of what channel you have set because the buttons are side-by-side and easy to confuse with each other. For me it's not a dealbreaker just something you have to be aware of when using it.

There are a lot of reviews and videos on the internet. I ordered these as a way to reliably fire my Nikon Speedlights when the Nikon CLS optical system wasn't practical. They seem to work well with my Nikon flash units. I'm a casual user and have not given them a complete workout but so far so good. Exposure has been accurate in TTL mode and compensation works as it should. For the price these are great for someone on a budget
