Surprised to find the packaging for this filter was not sealed when it arrived today. The filter will be tested on lens later today.

Good quality filter but price you have to pay over performance is too high, honestly I couldn't find much difference with my $7 cheap filter from other brand.

Build quality is great does what it does but for about $145 I thought it will be way better than my old $6 cpl but honestly I couldn't see any difference even under careful pixel peeping (reducing reflection, making cloud pop). There could be something better that I don't know but for performance it was exactly same as my $6 cpl, I'm so disappointed on b+w. I'm sending this back.

I know it is hard to get excited about a piece of glass but B+W filters are the the best. They are so well made, the feel and heft of the brass mounting rather than plastic, and of course the flawless quality of the glass. They can't be beat.

This is an oversized filter. I bought the 77mm for my lens and it screws on the 77mm front threads but the filter is 95mm. This means you get no veneting and its easy to rotate the filter for effects.

The B+W Kaesemann MC Circular Polarizer, is a great investment. I put B+W on all my $$$ Canon "L" Lens. Incredible craftsmanship with great results!

Landscapes, Seascapes specifically sunrise and sunsets are my most frequent uses. I like the range of selective choices when working with this filter. I paid the higher price because I only wish to pay for the best quality once. In comparative side by side use my eyes could not see the difference to suggest higher priced filters being considered.

Initial results are positive. Need to use longer term to evaluate on a variety of shoots.

I really in joy this B+W MC polarizer, such great craftmanship in materials used. My pics are breath taking and with sharpness and robust colors. I also use B+W ND filters and step-up rings. I don't ever regreat buying this polarizer. IT JUST WORKS!

B+W 77 mm Wide Angle Circular Polarizer Multi Coated Thin Glass Filter and B+W 77 mm Kaesemann Circular Polarizer Filter in Wide Angle Slim Mount MRC Coated Glass I have both of above wide angle and thin polarizer glass for my Nikon 28-300 mm VR lens and Tamron 10-24 mm lens. Both glass are working well on their performance- as lens protector, avoids vignetting, increase chromatography contrast etc. I having not to compare the cheaper polarizer, but I do believe in what you get what you pay for. Of course not sure if it's worth the money over a cheaper, need time/$ to study and research. The weakness in this product is the attached soft filter caps (only fits over the filter), because the glass is very thin/slim so, there is no room/front thread for the hard plastic lens cap (Old cap). Therefore, it's always fall off when you moving in and out the camera.

The male threads are poorly cut. This is the only screw on lens accessory that I have had trouble with. There is way too much friction in the part that is supposed to spin, so you either loosen the entire filter or the crummy male threads will jam into your lens/UV filter. Very annoying when you are in the field and can't remove it. Female threads are fine. Image quality is nice though.

A circular polarizer is a must component for any kit. If you are serious about your photos and desire getting the best results when you are in the field, then a B+W filter is a good investment towards getting the results you want. Sounds like I am writing an advertisement...hmmm. For the record, I have to buy my own equipment. The B+W line is top end and expensive, but the results make the cost justifiable. Good thread form makes it hard to cross thread the filter. Heavy duty material and solid construction make this a one time purchase. Filter always rotates smoothly. When used in the right situation, the clouds and colors pop. Lose the glare and pick up color and detail in the hot pools in Yellowstone. Someone nearby is liable to hear you say "WOW" as you rotate the polarizer to the optimum orientation. Lower cost polarizers will show a similar effect, but perfect glass and perfect coatings will give you the best result possible. These are B+W characteristics. Quality does cost. Its all about the results you want. I would recommend this filter to anyone who wants to optimize his results in the field.

I've used this filter several times and the result is excellent, when used within the product's specifications. At first the filter was a little hard to run to find the desired effect, but was now improving and is very practical. Would buy again for sure.

Have Hoya CP but when presented with the choice for the 77MM filter size I decided to get the much praised B + W Kaesemann Circular Polarizer.

Top quality filter. Any errors in my shots were due to me, not the filter.

These are as good as they get - simple as that. They are a little pricey, but once you use it you'll probably agree that getting one is really a no-brainer. Very happy with this ! Alex

What can you say about a polarizer that works as advertised and renders lovely scenes even prettier? Not cheap but worth every penny.

I couldn't see buying a cheap filter to go on my new $1600 lens -- simple to use, and results through the first 2 weeks look great. Really see a difference in the skies and water shots with this polarizing filter. Anything shot other than "high noon" seem to benefit. Worth the peace of mind to me, even if I am not entirely sure if I see the difference between 98% effective and 90% effective.

I use this Cir. Polz. on my 12-24mm wide angle lens. I usually only open up the lens to 14mm and with this lens I have had NO color darkening in the corners at all. The true, clean polarization really brings out the wonderful colors of the sky. I also shoot in bright daylight with this lens and a 5 stop ND to help tone down the bright day sun.

High quality construction and glass. I bought it to put on the front of my Canon 70-200 L IS 2.8 so shortcutting the filter seemed like a really bad thought. I wanted the best and from what I heard and read about this filter, this was it. It's expensive and only my second CP, but it works as advertised and I'm very happy with it.

This is my first filter. From the paper filter box I was not sure that the item I received was what I bought. B+W could have included a basic description of the product and its effects. My search of their web site did not yeild the information.

It's simply the finest polarizer I've ever used. It has some weight to it and pretty much feels to be built like a tank. I have no doubt that this thing will last for years. Why spend thousands, or even hundreds, on a lens only to stick some sub-standard piece of glass on the front. Go with the best, you'll not be disappointed.

Kaesemann filters are constructed from select polarizing foils and the finest optical class.
• They were designed for apochromatic and fast telephoto lenses, but all lenses benifit from their quality.
• Kaesemann polarizers are edge sealed and are ideal for extreme climate conditions.
• Polarizer filters evenly increase color saturation of all colors (except black and white), creating deep, rich scenics.
• They add contrast for dramatic skies and ariel shots.
• Polarizers also eliminate glare from highly reflected surfaces like glass and water.
• Polarizers are two part lenses that rotate, allowing you to select the degree of additional saturation, contrast and glare reduction desired.
•They come in two varieties.
• Circular-for all types of cameras (required for beam splitting metering systems commonly found in auto-focus SLR's and in most current TTL Slr's; check your camera's manual).
• Linear-for rangefinders and older SLR metering systems.
