Questions & Answers

Charles M : Will my two Kindermann 220 reels fit in this tank?CAREN C : YesJASON A : Yes
JON T : How many inches tall is this tank? Do 2 120 reels fit snuggly or will I need a 35mm reel to top it off?LUCIA S : Two reels fit fine (disclaimer: it'seems been a couple of years since I last used it, but I do not remember having to use an extra reel to fill it up)
mike c : Can you change chemicals in light like the patterson?JOEY H : By all means. Put the undeveloped film in the tank in total darkness. Once the lightproof lid is on, you can turn the lights on for the duration of the development process, including the changing of chemicals.DAVID P : Yes. After processing with one chemical, you remove the small cap and pour out the chemical (save or discard). Then you pour the next chemical in through the small cap opening and replace the cap. This is all done in a lighted room. The small cap opening is designed as light-tight.KEN B : NoSCOTT G : Yes - the smaller flip-off lid can be removed to add or drain chemicals without exposing the inside of the tank to light.MATTHEW H : Yes. The only difference is metal and the store brand name.JANELL O : YesDARRON S : Yes. Just remove the top cap, pout out the used chemicals and pour in the next then replace the cap.SEIGO S : Yes you can.

Good quality

This is a high quality tank with a good lid that seals well. No leaks. The light-tight lid is well designed for rapid pouring of chemicals.

Nice product

Nice product, good seal on the lid, good value. I use this with the Hewes reels and it is much better than plastic! I use this twice and week and am very happy. I recommend this product. Note that I preheat the tank in 100 deg water for 5 minutes then presoak the film 1 minute in 100 deg water to bring all the metal up to temperature for colour neg and slides.

Stainless steel tanks and reels have long been the professional's choice. With Adorama's stainless steel tanks and reels desired temperatures can be easily obtained and maintained. They will not warp or corrode. The PVC caps are light-tight, easy pouring, and wet or dry they are easier to remove than stainless steel covers. Available for 35mm and 120/220 reels.
