I wanted to use my Nissin 360TW flash of about 20 years age on my Canon G11 in manual mode by way of my 2 Pocket Wizard plus III's. The old flash had an accessory PC connecting wire/flash shoe cord, but the PocketWizard did not have a PC receptacle. I used the proA5 to connect its PC receptacle socket to the male PC end of the accessory flash cord, and the proA5 flash shoe end to connect the Pocket Wizard Receiver unit. Then the other end of the accessory PC wire had its own flash shoe into which I placed the Nissin flash. This made my flash connection via PC connector to the PocketWizard receiver unit. The PocketWizard transmitter unit went on the Canon G11 flash shoe. This works perfectly in manual mode and I am using a very old Nissin flash with a modern digital camera in manual mode via two Pocket Wizard plus III.

The best thing about this device is that it has 2 PC sockets. By connecting a string of shoes together by PC sync cables you can fire a string of flashes off at once from only only pocketwizard, trigger etc. Haven't tested how many but I get at least 2 in series from one pocketwizard. The picture above should be the "Adorama accessory flash shoe with PC socket and test button"

Im like the last person to review this product. My camera Bracket has a 1/4 male thread, and my camera to Flash cord has a cold foot only. I put the cold foot in the cold shoe and scred it on to the 1/4 inch male thread. I tilted the carera bracket back to have the flash spin backwards. The problem is the rivit that conects the shoe to the thread is done in such away that it allows it to spin.

I am going to describe the problem I had, and is the reason of why I bought this. This problem will describe the way to use this item. I bought a Manfrotto Flach bracket with a 1/4 inch Male thread, and I also bought a off camera flash cord. To connect my camera to the flash. The off camera shoe cord is suppose to of had a 1/4 inch female thread on it, but it only had what I call a cold foot. My problem was that I could not connect my Off camera cord to my flash bracket, because the cord was lacking the the famle thread. This addapter solves that problem. I see no reason for why someone would put there flash or anyother hotfoot into this cold shoe. It is totally pointless in my mind to do so, and is likely a good way in messing up the pins on the flash.
