I have used this product with my tripod. Unfortunately, my center column tripod pole is a little bit long, almost hit an add-on. If you have short center column, it will be more useful. Consider this one if you have small stuff to put on. Don't ever think about put and extra body with lens on it. There is not a big area for you.
