I have had the F.A.S.T covert now for 8-9 years. By far my favorite folding knife I have come across. Still as solid as the day i bought it.

I wanted a functional knife that leaned towards the defensive side. It's the most practical knife I've ever owned. Great at work, fishing, and carrying for defense. Highly reccomend.

I love this knife, I have always had one through my time in the Marines , my favorite folding knife thus far. I carry one as my daily cary tool with my Gerber Diesel multi tool. This knife even out lasts the bench mades that I've e owned. I've put this knife through hell and it holds up like a champ! I admittedly have gone through a few over the years but it took alot to brake it. the spring assist is always what fails but only after taking a serious beating. Makes it through active military duty, mechanics, carpentry, and daily utility use. This is an amazing knife!

This is my 3rd Covert FAST - Black, Serrated...I've given 2 away because my soldiers loved it and I had to purchase another one. I have also had the mini but lost both of them. Overall its a great knife! Improvements, slightly thicker and stronger belt clip so could keep this great knife. I would say it holds its edge well and deploys as fast as an auto. I have had my current Covert for 2 deployments and its just recently a little loose in the blade but plan on getting a torx kit. I have the auto covert on order to try it out while on this deployment.

Just about everything about this knife is great but the serrated edge totally sucks! The blade itself was sharp but I would recommend to get the non serrated edge. Its hard to sharpen and gets dull too fast.

I will be the first to admit that this is not a great knife, but it is a very good knife for the price. It's an assisted opening that opens as fast as any of my automatic knives and fits well in my hand. I've owned two of them so far and right out of the box they were stiff and dull but they sharpened up fine and with a little bit of oil and repeated play, they loosened up and function well. I will say that for what this knife lacks in quality, Gerber more than makes up in their warranty support. My first knife had a problem with the blade loosening up frequently so I sent it in for repair. Gerber send me a new one in just a few days, no questions asked. So far, I have not had any problems with my second knife.

i have had this knife for six years, a little tightening, a little sharpening, and good to go, with this knife for years, it is my EDC, NEVER leave home w/out it.

I thought I would like this knife I used have one similar style. This one right out of package has no edge, no detent on the safety button and is very stiff to open. But I like the feel and I know the blade is good just needs sharpening. Maybe it will loosen up with little oil and use..

Seemed quite nice out-of-box, need to adjust springs a bit(noisy), lock-up very tight but safety button doesn't have a positive feel to it, easily bumped out of 'safe' detent. May need to work on that...

Had this knife for 7 years and had ZERO issues with it. When I was in the Army I used this thing to open cans of soup in the field, metal on medal and I could still bring it back to razor sharpness with little effort. Had it stolen last night so I'm here to buy it again.

Great knife! I have had mine for 10 years, the only bad thing is for 9.5 years the pocket clip has been off. The screws loosened and I had no way to tighten them. Now I do but I can't find the screws. Can anybody there help. I love the knife but without the clip it gets in the way in my pocket so I had to stop carrying it. It is too good a knife to be sitting in my drawer.

Coming from a line of Knife Enthusiast, JS, MS's, and my everyday occupations this assisted folder is a solid step above* from Gerber's norm. As with any blade, it must be cleaned, cared for, and utilized as intended. Clean it after any use that may interfere with the locking mechanism.. Overall : Balanced - Attention to Quality Control -

I found a mini version of this knife in the woods don't know how long it had been there caked with mud and the spring was broke. Contacted Gerber because I liked the feel of it. They said it had a lifetime warranty and had me send it back for a brand new one. I have had it for about 2-3 years and love it. I haven't had one bit of problem with this knife. maybe I'm just lucky.

I have had this knife several years and blade continues to loosen and wiggle I try without luck to keep it tight but it is a good product.

I have had this knife for a while. I used blue loctite on the screws since they tended to loosen. To me, the safety switch offers a potential issue. The blade is folded closed by pushing the switch forward and, though I did not test the theory, I feel it might cause the blade to close during a thrust with the point.

This will be my third knife of the same make and model. Best knife I have ever owned. The spring loaded blade is very handy, whether if you are military, a blue collared man, or someone that uses it for everyday purposes.

This Knife is great, I use it everyday. It rides in the pocket great, and isassisted opener is F.A.S.T whenni need it. The serrations work amazing. And the g10 feels so nice. I would highly recommend this Knife. I've bought two already. One for myself and a friend.

Bought this knife today at a local retailer. I am very impressed by the quality! I have owned Gerber knives and multi-tools in the past and have never had a problem. Thanks for a great and fairly priced product. If you are on the fence about buying one, do it. You won't regret it!
