This is honestly a lot larger than I was expecting. The frame is also a lot sturdier than I expected it to be due to tiger reviews. So far,y only complaint is about the bands that it comes with, which everyone says is too large, and they are correct. But that is negligible and easily fixed.

This is a class A product. Solid quality C stands and a great frame, Is it a bit pricey though?

Amazing for the price! After 1 day of use, one of the corner pieces started bending. But it is a great deal. We are just going to leave it up in our studio and it is great for what we are using it for. Super happy with it. and would definitely recommend it to friends.

I bought this 8x8 in 2020 and it's completely unusable now. I wish I would've just spent the extra $ for a better frame. The aluminum is very cheaply made and has bent over the years. The locking clasps are a pain to take on and off. The black fabric is not a solid, it's partially transparent.. useless when trying to block out light. I'm giving this 2 stars because I can see it being great for someone who's using this in a studio and leaves it built 24/7.

The frame is lightweight and sturdy. The screen materials seem to be sewn together well. The ties for the screen to the frame are not my favorite and I wish there was a better design. I'm not sure why these manufacturers make such delicate travel cases for these products. Really needs to have a more robust zipper And better sewing for the carry bag

I should have noticed in the specs sheet, but notably the 12x12 only comes with a grid cloth fabric whereas the 8x8 also comes with a black and green screen fabric in addition to the grid cloth. Perfect for what it is. Great price. Not quite as rigid as the more expensive frames. I wish it was able to collapse a bit shorter for easier transportation.

This is a great 8x8 scrim. I love the folding frame. Very solid for the price. Folds so much more compact then a solid pipe frame.

Large and works well! I?ve used the white/translucent scrim and the black one. The black on didn?t fit as tightly onto the frame, but still worked very well. I used them outdoors to block and/or diffuse sunlight when doing all-day sessions back-to-back. I can?t control the sun, so have to work around it on days like this. I have not much use for the green screen fabric, so can?t really review it. The frame seems sturdy, as do the fabrics. So far, so good!

This Glow 8x8? Portable Butterfly light Modifier Collapsible Kit is awesome. Easy to set up and take down with your crew. Make sure to put sandbags on your C-Stands. As you could see in the photo. It really helps out to get the right lighting on set. Great price at Adorama.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this kit. It's fine if you leave it up but if you're going to break it down the brackets are very soft and will bend. I've only taken it apart twice and it's almost unusable now. I'd spend a little more and get an Avenger or Matthews.

Great product! This 12x12 butterfly has helped a handful of our productions so far. Just make sure you pair this with heavy duty C-stands. The product does not come with C-stands, but it does come with the heavy-duty clamps. Great purchase!

For the price - this is a great pick up for any skill level. The fold out frame and ear build is fantastic for the price. It packs away nicely and comes with a few key sheets for everyday use. You will need stands and bags to safely use this so be prepared to buy those as well. It's not as hardy as some higher end butterfly kits and can lead to some pinched fingers - but relative with it's price point I would suggest anyone who needs a large source get this Adorama item.
