I bought two more so I don't have to swap them between lenses and still have one mounted to the camera. I recommend that you call the manufacturer of the quick release plate and ask them if it will mate with what you have. joe s : Does this fit a Vivitar VPT-120 tripod? If not, do you have one that fits?JOHN O : I do not know if the MH-642 Quicki Release Spare Plate will fit your Vivitar VPT-120 tripod. Most of the quick release plates are different between heads, even between the same brand of heads.

Giottos MH-642c Quick Release Spare Plat

I have purchased several of these to use on more than one camera. Very easy to install and use. The only minor problem was the loop on the tightening bold would get in the ways sometimes, easily resolved.

Perfect fit!

What can I say, it's a prefect replacement for the lost quick release plate for the MH-5001 head. Still not understanding how I lost the first one so I bought TWO. One does not come off the camera and the other is a spare or can be used for a video cam.

Very econmical spare plate

Econmical enough that you can easily put them on all your camera bodies and long lenses.
