Shopper : Will this remote work with the 1D mark ii ?PETER K : Yes, but the trick is having the right connector to your flash. I use this with our studio flash setup on location. The problem I had was finding the right connector, otherwise it works fine.JENNIFER C : Sorry, I don't know for sure because I shoot Pentax (my model was listed). However, the packaging I have lists the Canon 1D, 1Ds mark II, III, IV. (In addition to other models). Their website is www.hahnel.ie I really like my remote, I hope this works for you!
Dena V : I just need an extra reiver to use with a second flash. Do you offer it?ROGER B : I could not find a receiver only anywhere. I looked many places. Theoretically you could buy two and set the codes so one triggers both. Not sure why Adorama would ask me to answer your question, but I shake my head at a lot of things these days. Best of luck.LEN T : I was looking for and extra receiver and after contacting the Hahnel representative in NY to find out they are not selling the receiver by itself. I ended up buying the Combi TF Pro kit. This gave me an extra mechanism to fire the lights when I am away from the camera. I really wish they would sell just the receiver and I hope you can find one.

Tough remote

I usually do not write reviews but this one seems to warrant one. I took this into the backcountry to photograph waterfalls and streams. I was up on the top of a rock fall with a water pool about 20ft below me. For whatever reason, it fell out of my hands while I was adjusting some of my gear. It fell and hit the rock and proceeded to tumble the full 20ft until it it came to a rest in the pool 20' below me. I figured it was done for but since I am not about leaving my trash in the woods, I went down to retrieve it. After I got home, I figured I would try it out before ordering a new one and surprise, it still works. If this remote can tumble 20ft down hard granite and sit in a pool of water for the 3min it took to get down to it and still function, this thing is tough enough for you.

Hahnel Update

Update from my previous review: Hahnel triggers continue to work almost PERFECTLY. Used in many, many shoots, in studio, on location, weddings and all sorts of places - they're still going strong. Sold the Pocket Wizards to buy some more gear - they never got used.

Work great, no problems.

I'll be perfectly honest, I'm writing this to counter the previous chap who gave these triggers one star. They have a warranty! If they break you send them back!! I've used these triggers in the studio, at weddings, at location shoots and in all manner of situations and they have held up just fine. I have not found the range limit yet. First thing we did is go outside and test them. Wifey held the flash and walked far enough away that I had to shout for her to hear me, and they continued to fire. I use them with speedlights and Alien Bees and they are quite reliable. I have since bought the PW TT1/TT5 combo and I only did so because I wanted hi-speed sync.
