Works just like it was made for. You can see your picture in the bright light with no problem. Highly recommended it.

I had a hard time viewing my photos outside in bright light before I got the hoodman Loupe, now I can see all I need to, to get just the right picture, even in bright light.

Performance is great, as the unit provides a magnified view of the image in my Canon's viewing screen and is especially effective in cutting out bright light that obscures normal viewing. However, the hood collapses easily and requires frequent adjustments to extend it back to full view. I do like that the cord for hanging the hood around my neck is actually secured to the body of the unit, rather than that Mickey Mouse cord on other hoods that needs frequent tightening and has cost me lost units and one unit that the entire eye section fell away and was also lost. I had one cord that simply broke and dropped my hood into the bay. Yet, I rely on the things and keep buying them. They do help in viewing exposure ranges and detail, a lot

this is excellent for checking exposure in the field and focus to a lesser degree. especially on a bright sunny day. the quality is good and the size is very manageable. a little more magnification might help but this is an essential tool that i wish i had bought years ago.

Seems to be well built a little pricey for what it is

It is frequently difficult to review pictures on the digital screen in order to determine if the exposure/composition/depth of field are adequate. This viewfinder allow anyone to see clearly, regardless of the ambient light. It prevent light reflection and glare. A must have for any serious photographer.

Serves the purpose - the LCD can be looked at without a glare and check for clarity of the image. But at ($) it is a bit overpriced.

This Loupe has 3 benefits for user. 1. See clearly under sun. 2. It magnifies the images, 3. Great for whom wear glasses without taking off to review images.

it is a most for out door photography when you can not use your laptop to check the tone or your picture and inspect all the details on the back of your camera screen.

I'd been reading about this product for some time, and was frankly curious about how useful it might be. I found it does take some getting used to, and is best suited for nature and still life shots in which you have time to compose a shot. I really like it for shots down low to the ground when I can fold the screen out and use the Hoodman to fine tune the focus. I'm looking forward to using it for nature shots.

The hoodloupe works well in bright, sunny locations where it is often difficult to see the LCD display. There is some magnification, but the real value is checking your photos.

The compact Hoodman is compact (doesn't eat up valuable space in my bag), is high quality, and allows me to confirm that I'm in focus. And believe me, as a full-time architecture & interior photographer, focus is not an option. Using this product is a no-brainer.

This hood/loupe does a good job. When you need to check critical focus or confirm focus point it is much better than putting on the old reading glasses. The hood feature is nice when shooting into the light source. Most helpful.

I was surprised how much better I can see the screen with this. It really does make a difference. The ability to fold down is a plus; however, it does take up some space though. If you are going to be in sunlight or any where bright it is a no brainer the benefit outweighs the bulkiness.

Use for outdoor macro photography. Really makes a difference when shooting in the sunlight and trying to get accurate manual focus using live view.

After you've taken the shot and need to really see what's on your LCD, this HoodLoupe will allow you to get real close. You can check exposure and focus in bright sunlight. The eyepiece is adjustable to most people's eyesight and will really get you down to the pixel level when used with your + button on the back of the camera. An essential tool to have in your camera bag. It's built to last and I don't worry about it being banged around in my kit.

The Hoodman HoodLoupe Optical Viewfinder for 3.2" LCD Displays is used to make a close inspection of images as you reviews them on your DSLR camera's LCD display. The LCD screen Loupe isolates the display from ambient light so you will not be distracted by reflections or shadows in it. This makes it easier to view image details quickly to confirm focus and ensure that you have the best image possible. It will provide full coverage of an LCD display screen up to 3.2" diagonally with a standard (3:2) aspect ratio. The Compact HoodLoupe also shrinks down 30% smaller for easier transport and storage when not in use - going from 3.25" to 2.25" with ease.
