brenna s : Is this only a European charger or does it work with US standard plugs?ROBERT E : The little plug shown on the right of the picture is the European adapter for 220VAC. Without it, the charger is intended for US sockets.EDWARD J : As another commenter says, this works with US plugs. You can see the built-in plug at lower left. The specs on the back say AC 100v-240v with output 8.4 volts. So that would appear to cover both US and European voltages. Curiously the Nikon EN-EL9 battery that it charges is marked as 7.4 v.MISHAEL C : Hi, It works with both US and European wall plugs. The charger has a US plug built-in (folds out from back of unit, you can't see it in the photo), and it comes with a european plug "adapter" (that you can see it in the picture) that fits over the us plug. For that matter, as it is a US plug on the unit you could just use any travel adapter to change the shape of the plug. I have found this unit useful and a good bargain.TREVOR T : It works with standard plugs as well. The prongs flip out the back. This helps it fit. Easly in to a bag or even a pants pocket. I am still using it over a year later with no issues. Good luck.
