HP C8061X Black Print Cartridge for Select Laserjet Printers (Yield: Appx 10,000 Copies)

The printer said I needed a new toner cartridge having only 500 pages left. Today it has almost 1000 pages left. I have not even opened the new cartridge and am thinking of returning it.

The 61X toners are not as pictured. I received 2 super old stock genuine HP 61X toners. They were in the blue/green retail box with the image of a man walking up stairs. The box is circa 2002, so the toners are 11 years old. I have installed one and it works fine so far. The other one is still on the shelf. The price is good, but I was expecting to receive fresher toners like the toners they show on the description page (that box design with the globe and children on the box or globe and scientist on the box is about 5 years old)(the newest box design is blue/black). So it's genuine, and it works so far, but it's super old.

We have 4 Laserjet 4100 printers and we print a lot for our business. The 61X toner is the high capacity toner so we don't have to change it very often. The print quality is excellent but it is expensive. We could probably save money by switching to a generic, but we need high quality printouts so we'll never switch.
