Questions & Answers

Shopper : Are they durable?DALE N : Hello, I have had no problems with mine, but It is not used in extreme weather conditions.ROBERT D H : Have had NO problem with this SD card over 2 years use!STEVE H : Well... I have had problems with the little plastic strips between the contacts breaking. Other than that, they work fine. I would not purchase these again. I have never had a card do this. I have 2 of these and they both did this. I am a bit afraid of one of the strips getting caught in my camera.JOHN F : These are as good as any I have owned. Mine have lasted well.WINONA C : I've always considered the Lexar Professional Series as amongst the best made. I've never had a problem with any Lexar products, but then again, I also don't abuse them. I would say yes, they are durable...THOMAS M : YesCRAIG G : I'd say yes. I've had mine for a few years now and it's the primary card I use to shoot with.WESLEY B : NO. All SD cards suck. We shoot 100,000+ images a year and the little plastic dividers on the contact point eventually separate and break on all of them. Every brand from Lexar to Sandisk to Samsung. The cards continue to work but get slower because there are less contact points reading accurately. The good thing is you just have to send it back to Lexar and they send you a new one for free within a few weeks. If someone made these out of aluminum or metal that would be great.RTFM R : I'm not quite sure of your definition of 'durable' is, but I would say that, no, they aren't. They should be handled with care, put into a case of some type when they're not in the camera and kept away from moisture, dirt and such. That's not to say you can't drop them or possibly step on one and it still work - it may, it may not. In other words - just be careful with them and they should last a long time.DANIEL K : Seems to be just greatTIBOR P : Yes, not a single problem in two years of intensive use.
Shopper : Any type of camera?JAMES C : This Memory Card will work in any camera that has a card slot to accommodate this size card; also you will need to ensure that your camera will except a 64 GB memory card, some cameras have a max memory and if the card exceeds the max it will not work in your camera.Chris M : Not really, your camera MUST be able to read an SDXC card, some older cameras only read from SD, or SDHC, but the XC card is a newer format, you will have to check your manual, to see if its XC compatible. SDXC is readable only from newer cameras , and then, not allLEONARD R : I'm not an expert, but this card should be good in any camera that uses the SDXC format. Some cameras use a smaller card.DINESH F : yes you can use for any type of camera. i been using over two years
CHARLES J : It this compatible with nikon d3200?DENNIS J : All Lexar Professional series are compatible with the Nikon D3200. They require a Class 6 card as a minimum for video recording. Therefore a Class 10 such as the Lexar will be fine.JOHNNY N : Sorry I don't have Nikon d3200 instead I use it for my Canon S95, but I think it should work with your Nikon too.Chris M : yes, your camera will handle SD-XC card, and the class 10 rating is perfect for your cameraRICHARD L : I went to the Lexar site and live chat for you. it is Compatible with SD/SDHC/SDXC which means it can use the larger cards (64GB+) so yes, this camera should be compatible with the 64GB 400x 64GB SDXC card. For information on the recommended cards for this camera, the best advice I can give would be to contact Nikon Directly.THOMAS W : Apparently, the D3200 uses and SD card, so this card SHOULD work.

Quality card at a great price

I had never "sprung" for the Professional line of cards before, as I am just a hobbyist. The special price offered at the time gave me the opportunity to see what I had been missing. Our pics are too precious to trust to marginal cards, aren't they? Also, I shoot a lot of birds, so in multi-shot mode, a fast card helps.

GIGS OF PICTURES

Adorama Tech support suggested this as an alternative to one that was out of stock. Excellent choice. This card was less expensive, but served the purpose. Now I can keep shooting and just change cards quickly without having to download. Doesn't slow down the camera and keeps up with the buffer.

No More Busy Signals

I purchased this card as an upgrade to my SanDisk 32gb partly due to the excellent price but mostly due to the increased speed. It seemed that I was constantly getting "busy" messages in my viewfinder when shooting rapid fire(or trying to). I figured it was mostly because I was shooting RAW but after far too many missed shots I needed to do something. Since I started using this card I have never had a busy message or a problem with the card failing to do its job. It's been about 3 weeks and hundreds photos since I switched with no problems. Reading reviews about card failure made me nervious, but formatting the card in your camera after downloading your images may help prevent card failure (or so I've read), but I was doing that anyway. I normally don't shoot video so I can only attest to my experience with the card as it relates to images.

Proceed with Caution

I had this card for 4 months and the little lock slider fell out and I was no longer able to use it.

Perfect choice

Perfect choice for people with modern DSLRs or compact system cameras, it allows the camera to write data to the memory card as fast as the camera can. With 64GB of memory you won't have to worry about running out of storage space from your high-resolution still images or your 1080p video files. I use it with a Nikon D7100.

Excellent, fast transfer even in a D800

I replaced the original SDHC memory card in my D800 unit. The change is remarkable as to how fast it can write "fat" images (RAW & JPEG) in the 64 GB Lexar pro 400x vs. the old one. I had read about the "problem" that the D800 camera was producing huge size files and that this was slowing down the process when photographing fast moving subjects like photographing football or soccer sports. I know now that it was the speed of the memory card causing it and not the camera. I started using this card as a back-up of the 32GB Lexar 400x pro card. I leave it on my camera because of its huge capacity. I can shoot for hours, replace batteries in the camera and still have space to shoot some more. What a pleasant surprise. Thank you Lexar. Next step for me will be to get the 64 GB Lexar Pro 600x cards soon.
