Nikon FH-869G 120/220 Strip Film Holder with glass for LS-8000 / 9000

I got this film holder to get better scans from 120 film, while capturing the edges of the film. It holds the film nice and flat, helping me to get sharper scans. There are two things I wish though: First, I wish it came included with the scanner. And second, I wish the glass bed was just a teensy bit wider, to capture more of the edges of the film. But those are my only gripes. This is a great addition to a Nikon scanner and you won't regret getting it.

Keeping roll film flat in a medium format film scanner is not easy. This holder ensures that all the film is in focus during scanning and in my opinion is an essential part of the scanner. Ideally it would be included with the Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED, but then would be wasted on those owners who have no intention of using roll film. I would not be without it.

I use this product with my scanner, Nikon Coolscan LS-9000 ED. I appreciate the excellent quality of scanned film image after using this product. I would like to recommend this product to the person who would concern the quality of film scan.

The FH-869G provides sharp edge-to-edge scans of even difficult film strips. It's a little more challenging to load than the 'stock' glassless carrier, with the different film masks and inter-frame strips, but well-worth the extra effort.

I have used it and find that it works seamlessly with my 8000.
