alex d : Hi, is this mic compatible with Nex7? Tks AlexBRIAN D : It is much better than the built in M7c on my SONY a77 but I do not know if it is compatible with a Nex 7. If it is, it is worth the money, however a caution; It has an off/on switch and if you leave it ON, the next time you use it - no battery power!VLADAN P : Yes, the mic is compatible with the Nex-7. I haven't done much testing, but the sound quality is definitely better than the camera's built-in mic.MARK S : Yes! Great Compact Stereo Microphone!

This Mic was purchased a year ago to use with my NEX7 Camera and equipement... It has been around the World, and used for major recording events... It works very well, clear & crisp sound... Now I am using it also with my new Alpha 99, and it workes even better... For a very small compact mic to use when travelling, this is just the ticket!

SONY Compact Stereo Microphone

Better than built in Microphone but off/on swich makes it easy to use up batteries. Easy to carry and install but no substitute for GOOD sound.

Small and light weight

Light weight and easy to use but need a battery to operate. You have to switch ON in order to operate and if you forgot to switch it Off when not in use, it will eat up your battery. I like the nikon stereo mic better, no need of battery, just plug in and ready to go.
