Used Tele Vue FoneMate Smart Phone to EP Adapter for Dioptrx Eyepieces

I have tried several other Smart Phone Telescope Adapters and I finally purchased this and am so glad I did. Some practice is needed to get your smart phone installed and aligned properly on your eyepiece but the results are much more satisfying when you are able to take a picture from your camera and see the results! I am still a newbie when it comes to Astronomy. Aside from this Tele Vue FoneMate Smart Phone to EP Adapter for Dioptrx Eyepieces, I own several other Tele Vue products as well; 32mm Plossl, 31mm Nagler Type 5, 27mm Panoptic, 24mm Panoptic, 22mm Nagler Type 4, 18.2mm DeLite, 17mm Nagler Type 4, 13mm DeLite, 13mm Ethos, 10mm Radian, 10mm Ethos, 7mm DeLite, 6mm Ethos, 1.25 inch 2x Barlow and a Tele Vue 2 inch 2x Powermate. I am a HUGE Tele Vuew fan and praise their products to everyone I can!

Works well with the iPhone XR. The photos of the moon and sun taken with my 102mm Refractor with Nagler eyepiece and iPhone are stunning considering the simplicity of the setup. Was a little trickier with my with wife's iPhone 13 Pro. Plan on using this setup for viewing the April 2024 solar eclipse. Family will not have to jostle around the eyepiece one by one, but rather several will get to view the eclipse at once looking at the iPhone screen.

By far the best features and construction, I was immedately won over. Requires TV eyepieces with the eye guard lip. The 40mm plossls work great stock with an iphone 7. Binoviewer at outreach with one eyepiece on the phone and the other for observing what is being seen. You're welcome.
