I ordered a replacement NIKON lens cap and cap leash, plus a spare of each. The separate cap leashes were apparently so old that the adhesive had hardened, making them unusable. It turned out that the replacement lens caps came with leashes anyway so I didn't need the separate leashes.

Luckily, this didn't cost much. But the sticky part to attach to the lens cap wasn't sticky at all, and was completely useless.

QC was not very good. The sticker that is supposed to attach to the lens cap was not sticky at all.

Simply put, it worked half way: It attached to the camera body without worry, but the glue for the cap was dried up completely upon glue cover tab removal.

They must have been sitting in a warehouse for years. they were completly dries out. The elastic bands stretched out when I put them on the lens and were too floppy to stay on. One just snapped. The 2-way tape was completely dried out. I ended up throwing them in the trash.

The elastic works, but the glue on the pad wasn't even sticky (on all 5 I bought). Glue was probably made in 1954. I bought some 3m double side tape and now it works as it should. These should be about 50% of the current price since they are useless until retrofitted.

Glue was dried out so it wouldn't stick to lens cap. Lucky I had some double stick tape!

I think this would have been an OK accessory if the adhesive wouldn't have been completely dried out. I went to stick it on the lens and there was not even the slightest hint of sticking. Like paper (yes I did it right). I saw other reviews like this, but for the couple buck, I thought I would take my chances - apparently I got a bad one. I'm just glad I didn't order multiples.

Everything is fine, since I peeled the double stick tab off and put my own double stick tape on. This must be old stock! The double stick tab on the button that is suppose to connect the leash to the lens cap was so dried out that it wouldn't stick to the lens cap. This was after I cleaned the cap properly.

Cheap adhesive cause it went off from the lens cap very soon. Even less than two dollars of the price, still a waste.

The adhesive failed on both CapKeepers within weeks of purchasing. Not a good product.

I bought this for my lenses, because taking the lens on and off, I tend to misplace the caps...only issue, I live in Arizona and it gets hot here, and the stickiness of the tab that attaches to the lens doesn't want to stay, I super glued it on for now, it does the trick.

I bought two of these, and only one had any stickyness. Not recommended.

After installing it to the Camera Cap, it took about 1 hour to have the adhesive came of and them the adhesive got off of the plastic plug as well.

Hold the lens cap well, but should be treated with care. If you're clumsy, it might not last long enough lol. It came with a lens bundle so, it was all good.

I bought this product as part of a package. It was kind of an add-on to the products that I bought.

On an overseas trip I dropped my lens cap down a steep embankment. I had a long climb to retrieve it. I have lens leashes on all of my lenses to prevent this from happening again.

Great product to have when traveling. You save time from putting your lens cap in a pocket or bag and then searching for it later. If you're on an assignment such as a wedding where you are shooting a lot, it is more of a distraction and would recommend not using it at that time.
Better idea?

I haven't purchase one one of these, but it seems like it's biggest pitfall is the length of the tether and that some lenses use different sized lens caps. Why not just stick a a piece of round velcro on the cap side and attach the other piece of velcro to the tether. The kit could come with maybe 3 or 4 pieces of round velcro for each size cap you own.
For SLR cameras with interchangeable lenses and video cameras. Elastic loop wraps around lens barrel.
