Shopper : How many lenses plus 5d111 with lense will it pack with note book and still have some area for personals and is it easy to carry on back?DREW G. S : I carried a D7000 with an 80-400mm lens attached in the center pocket and still room at the bottom. On both sides of the center compartment are 13" of space with moveable padded dividers to easily accommodate 3-4 lenses depending on their length. I carried a second body, an 18-200mm lens, an 85mm macro, a large flash, and a ball head for a tripod and still had room. The bag comes with a removable case for the laptop which fits into a sleeve in a separate section of the bag. There is plenty of room for filters, cards, maps, cables and extra batteries. The straps are well padded as is the back of the pack. It also has a padded waist strap that allows you to support most of the weight on your hips. It is surprisingly comfortable. It rolls well in the airports and fits into the overhead bin of the plane so you don't have to check it. Very pleasedTHOMAS M : I should start with "I was hoping it was something that it is CLEARLY not..." It is NOT a larger version of their CompuDaypack, that's for sure. I have a D800 in mine, w/ 24-85 lens attached and ready (to save space, the hood needed to be reversed). The camera back is 5-1/8in high-sadly, the "comfortable" depth in the bag is 4-3/4in, so it presses into the backside of the forward (laptop) compartment. The bag has (re)/movable pads - and anything larger than 4-3/4in will need to go length-or-width-wise. As the D800 is thicker on one side than the other, one side runs 11-in long and the other 14-in and three columns of about 4in each (the difference is taken-up by the thickness of the padding. Depending on what kind-and size/girth of the lens you wish to pack-will give you an idea of how many you can put in there. The front compartment for computer and "some" personal items was VERY disappointing - not even CLOSE to the CompuDaypack (but it IS, after all, a CAMERA bag). The nature of my work has me using a Fujitsu Lifebook T convertible and it's a REALLY snug fit in that space. The computer is also thicker-a MacBook Pro or Air may work better. There hardly ANY room after that, except for pens and a reporter's notebook. The power supplies for camera, laptop, iPod/Phone, iPad Mini (the regular in an Otterbox won't fit at all and the Mini in Otterbox just barely in the back compartment) all compete for space with the camera and lenses in the back. Seems to carry okay in "backpack" (but the military has me in 75-lb ruck and/or my medic bag, so ANYTHING else is more comfortable). There's NO cover for the wheels from rolling dirt into you. It was a bear trying to tuck the straps away-and KEEP them tucked away-in "roller" mode. Rolls nicely. Rain cover is nice. Fits in most overhead bins. NOT the bag I was HOPING for. YOUR needs may be different, especially if ALL you need on assignment is JUST a camera bag and a small selection of lenses.CHERI K : It has 8 slots besides the middle that can handle the 5d and a telephoto attached. I bought this to tool through airports not to use as a backpack. I love itTAMMIE A : I'm able to pack my 2 Nikon D800's with grips, 24-120mm lens, 28-300mm lens and a 70-200 2.8 lens, 2 Nikon 900 flashes and my 15.4 inch Macbook Pro and I still have a little extra space, not much but enough for some cables and a bracket plus cards, wallet, sunglasses. It rolls nice and smooth and I can switch to backpack with no problems. The only thing I had a problem with is tucking the backpack strap back in quickly.
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?WENDELL S : Love this bag for air travel. Wont fit in regional jet overheads, but I gate check it in these cases. For international travel, its great. Easy to move my gear through airports without carrying it.

A well built, sturdy camera bag.

After several months reviewing and considering different camera bags I decided on the Lowpro Pro Runner X350. It fit the bill and perfect to store and carry all my equipment. This bag is very well built and very strudy. The flexible compartments can be rearragned to any form suitable. There are also a lot of extra pockets to carry any other hardware.

Lowepro Pro Runner X350 AW Photo Rolling

I see no problem carrying this on large aircraft. But it will not fit on the commuter aircraft or regional jets that I must fly. It works great for train travel in Europe.

A must buy when you getting old

When you buy a house you have to focus on location, location, and location. When you buy a bigger backpack as you stepping into senior age you have to focus on wheel, wheel, and wheel. Even for a younger photographer with tons of equipments you don't want to hurt your back with the wheel for assistance. This is the one of the best quality with lower price (I bought it with the gift of another $100 gift bag). Everything is as good as all the other Lowepro products if you trust this brand. The worry-some handle is the reason for me to take one star away even it includes a life time warranty. It still working fine so far (30 times usages). Be careful of the size before you purchase it. There is another model with bigger size and choose it wisely!

Great travel case

Love the case for travel. Well made and holds all my gear. The only issue is on some commuter flights it will not fit in the cabin. I hate checking expensive gear even if it's only gate checked. On 737 size aircraft this is not a problem.

WATCH THE WHEEL!

You may not have time to read the paragraph. Here is the bulletin. It's meaningful when comparing with my other 3 bags. Pro: 1. Wheel, wheel, and wheel! You want to use it for more than 10 years and you get old at that time. All my friends envy the wheel on my backpack. 2. Durable! I check the sewing on most of the connection esp the back straps and they did a good job. You cannot see the sewing from provided tiny pictures. 3. Great straps design! They can be stored/hid them when rolling your backpack. 4. Life time warrent! Wow, I never expect that but under the normal usage. I personally break tools easily. 5. There is a quick access space on the side for you to put lense cap, brush, filters, or blower while taking pictures. Con: 1. Shaky handle stick and it may break anytime (OK with life time warrenty). 2. Look big but actually not as big as you think (I think). You get very limited space for many accessories when the labtop is packed. Please think about the space for your long baby - external flashes! You get more equipments as time goes by. You can consider the bigger model X450AW? 3. Still working on how to use the tripods holder without any manul to study. Picture don't tell much about it. 4. I bought it because of the $90 worth of another Lowepro bag as a gift. Without the bonus I would not buy it if you compare the similar products of other brands with $40-80 lower price. They may have lower quality. As I said in the beginning that we need the comparison. 5. Need somewhere outside for the name/address card holder since it is also designed for travel in the airplan. 6. There is no way or quick access like sling bag to store changed lense while taking picture. It may be designed for travel not for this special purpose but it will be perfect with this option. 7. Bottom is strong but can be stronger at this price and the brand name. It will be perfect if the wheel set can be removed when not in use as other brand. 8. Will update with you if more problem (less chance for pro) found later as the human nature.

Decent Rolling Bag

Even though the add states the rolling backpack is okay for a carry on, be advised you will end up having to remove your laptop before the rolling backpack will fit on a 737, 757 or a MD80. It is too snug of a fit with the laptop in the bag. The rolling backpack seems to be loosening up a bit, now. The first few times I used it, it was a bear to get the zipper shut when storing the 15" laptop inside. After taking the laptop out before boarding and putting it back in after leaving the plane, it does get easier with each time. Too bad it doesn't fit in the overhead compartment. The rolling backpack is great to roll around, instead of having to lug a camera body, telephoto, wide angle lens, laptop and other small items over your shoulder, so I would recommend it to others, as long as they know about having the issue with placing the bag in an overhead bin.
