Let me start off by saying I loved this thing in the beginning. It's what started my photography business. The light it gives off is soft, effortless, and beautiful!!! However - as the years went on I started having issues with the coloring of my images. I wasn't sure what was happening. I bought a new flash tube, played around with my kelven settings, and almost bought a new flash until I realized it was this soft box causing me issues. I took it down for the first time in 2 years and folded it up and instantly saw how yellow it looked!!!! I set it up next to my PLM and was absolutely blown away at the difference in color. I attached a photo to show. I only had this soft box for two years and am so upset. I am now trying out a cheaper dupe in hopes it gives the same soft light without yellowing over time.

Love it SO much!! I'd give 6 stars if I could I'm primarily a newborn and maternity photographer andI bought this specifically for adding high key images to my client galleries. Not only does it do an amazing job for creating great profile shots of parents holding their baby, it also acts as a great fill light when I am shooting on my other backdrop. Attached is a sooc shot of what I am talking about. High key image of my dog's profile since he was my only available model when testing it out. The only thing I didn't like about it was putting it away. If you are not good at folding a car windshield shade, you might want to look up the tutorial on YouTube because it is like folding a mega-jumbo sized one. Or just do like me and permanently find a place for it in the studio so you never have to put it away!

First, it's bigger than you think it is Its also heavier than I expected That being said its a whole different kind of modifier It is in essence a giant softbox, so you can emulate almost anything with it Super highkey backdrop, easy Massive natural light window, done Heavenly up light, no prob Just know that you need to understand light well to get the most out of this device

I bought this as a "window" for when I need backlit window shots. Works well. Just make sure you have plenty of room as you still need space on the side for the light stands.

More and more I need to bring the studio to my clients. Lots of people want that white background look. With the Lastolite 6x7 HiLite, I’m able to do just that. I purchased two flashpoint speedlites to place inside the HiLite that work with my Flashpoint X Pro trigger and I’m in business. Setup is super easy as well as take down.

Have wanted one of these for a while but never thought I needed one. Now that I have it, how did I get by in my studio without it...LOVE THIS thing and use it for a lot more than just a background. Makes a superb softbox when used close to my client...Great stuff..

Own 3 of this 6 x 7 Hi Lite and just purchased additional one recently. We mainly use this for our sports and school photography and serve great with our purpose. Awesome product, well built and very easy to setup and take down. Got my 5 Star approval.

I am super happy with my purchase! I have been doing a lot of digital background work and was getting tired of the green cast from my green screen. This background provided the perfect high key look and made extracting subjects a piece of cake. I am planning on selling off all of my backdrops and will be using this exclusively along with my own digital backdrop designs. No more struggling and wasting time switching out backdrops for me. I used 2 AB400 lights...each set at just under half power. I used my beautiful grand daughter as my first subject and was immediately hooked. I was even able to fold it up after just a few minutes of practice. Best purchase I have made in a long time!

Easy to set up and use for high key shots. I haven't yet tried putting it away, so I can't comment on how difficult it might be to fold up, but I know others have had some issues with that. Otherwise, I'm very happy with it.

I am delighted with the product and would recommend it to others. The Con. The top sagged in centre. The sides crumble slightly. My purchase has black edging. This results in a blsck stripe between the background and the floor. This can be overcom by buying a white vinyl that is held by velcro. Dont let this put you off it is a great addition to a studio and well worth the money.

The very first time I used the Lastolite Background, I was able to shoot the best high key shots I have ever gotten. It took me less than 1/2 the amount of time to set-up, and 1/2 the space.

You cannot beat this portable setup for high key shots. All four sides unzip for several illuminating flash options. The included support bars make this unit self standing--a big plus to avoid carrying another stand. Results are great with any type of strobe.

I bought this as a simple solution for doing high key in small spaces. It was simple to set up and use. Allowed us to put the subject close to the background with minimal shadow or light spill. Was a challenge to close up. Took 2 of us a half an hour to figure out how to close it, and I am a frequent portable reflector user so I thought I would be a whiz at this process. After much wrestling and sweating it just closed properly. Whew.

This is a product that lets your imagination run wild. Outside of it's obvious uses, try clipping a piece of fabric with a design, (like lace), over it. Instant new look. Solid color fabric gives a new background. Turn the main light off, and you have instant silhouette. Add main light with a snoot and you get silhouette with soft face detail. Different color gels in each side light produces a nice grandaunt of color in the background. Adding just a bit of light behind a chroma ley cloth eliminates pesky shadows when the model is standing close to the background. Perfect for small shooting areas. I know it's expensive, but I wish I'd bought it a long time ago!!

I was doubtful about the amount of light I would need to light the background for a high key portrait. I used one FL110i (Smith Victor) strobe on each side. I was amazed when I found out that I had to decrease the power to half since both strobes would provide great ilumination. It also works as a big softbox!

I bought this to use in my booth at the county fair. Setting it up and getting the lights dialed in was easy. I rarely even bother to take a second shot for insurance. Folding the thing up was bit difficult, but I found a video on the Lastolite site and eventually got it to work
