I use this product primarily with my Canon 580EX Speedlites. Great range and I love how small the device is. The only complaint I have is the connection between my Speedlite and Transmitter. The pc connection is not very secure and we often have to re-connect both devices. So, that's the reason for giving it the rating I did, if there were a more reliable connection I would rate it a 5. Well worth the price savings from the Wizards.

I use this system all the time. The previous comment about it slipping off the camera are true, but one piece of gaffing tape and presto! you are in business. It has more than enough power to fire strobes in the studio and I have used it outdoors as well without incident. Great for the price.

The problem I have with the MicroSync system is that there is no real way of keeping the transmitter on the shoe. On my 30D or 20D I use a rubber band and hook it under the pop-up flash area... but the 5D is smooth there and that won't work. It falls off occasionally and when I'm outdoors, that's not a good thing. Pocket Wizards remain the gold standard for remote firing your flashes. The good news though is the MicroSync is more affordable, and pretty reliable (when the transmitter stays on the camera). I think that if there was a better mounting system for this, I would have rated the MicroSync a strong 4. Better range on top of that would make it a 5.

Awesome product! It can be used in many different applications. In the studio to get rid of those nasty wires, or in the field were you need distance between light sources. No matter what the application the small transmitter is super lightweight! Excellent product for the money!

I have been using this product outdoors and on my Bowens studio lights and have been very impressed. I use it with nikon speedlights outdoors mounted on small stand and am achieving very satisfactory results. the transmittor provides a great product at very reasonable price and the compact size is a boon.

As soon as you set up shutter speed over 1/180 sencond, the Micro Digital won't be able to tragger strobes same time, because it has only the max. sync speed of 1/180 second.

Have had a MicroSync for over a year and it is great in the studio. It will occasionally mis-fire.. annoying, but able to deal with it. The main problem is the transmitter is quite fragile. I recently bumped it and bent to hot shoe. It is not repairable, so I am out to buy another. For my use, and the discounted price, I am sticking with this product. Tamrac recently started selling just the receivers, but not the transmitter.

I like the size, good idea, but this is a V1 product, Version 2 is probably more likely to fix some problems!Transmitter dropped and broke, got 2 replaced in last year.Doen't work with rechargeble batteries.[...]..for now I go with more reliable Pocket Wizard

The MicroSync Digital is the smallest smartest wireless solution for firing strobes and cameras.
The Freedom of Wireles:
Whether your'e shooting in the studio or on location, firing your strobes with a sync cord can be impractical, inconvenient, and sometimes even impossible. Not any more! The MicroSync Digital wireless strobe sync system allows you to fire strobes wirelessly. So liberate yourself from the limitations of your sync cord.
Ultra Small, Light and Convenient:
The MicroSync Digital is revolutionary because it is super minature, extremely lightweight, and almost operates itself. Just place the transmitter in the hotshoe of your camera, plug the receiver into your strobe's powerpack and fire! Its that easy.
Automatic Power Management:
The MicroSync Digital has a unique automatic on/off power management system. There are no on/off switches on the transmitter or the receiver. When you press the shutter the transmitter turns itself on, sends the signal to the receiver, then turns itself off, all in milliseconds. Because of this advanced power management system, the battery life of the coin cell in the transmitter is anticipated to be 3 years.
Four Channels:
There are four channels on the MicroSync Digital to allow you to shoot without interference from other MicroSync users in close proximity.
