Great all purpose lens, might not be as sharp as some Nikon lenses, but this lens does it all, and is tough enough. Remembering it is 18-200 VR AF Macro focusing for the right price. I found much better to have the right lens on when a photo opportunity occurs, than forced to switch lenses in a moving vehicle or boat!

Everything arrived with high-quality protective packaging and the lens itself came with a nice bag that I hadn't anticipated. The lens is really exceptional if you are looking for a versatile single lens. I really enjoy ordering from and dealing with Adorama. A great all around lens! It’s always on my camera (other than brief switches to a 35/1.8 for sim living room shots). One of the best all-around use lenses.

I bought this lens to be an all purpose lens instead of the 18-140mm that came with my D7500. Unfortunately, the focus is very soft compared to the 18-140mm, especially in the minimum focus range while in telephoto. Not a very impressive lens and I wish I had not bought it. Fortunately, I kept the old 18-140mm. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this thing but I guess it makes a good paperweight.

I first reviewed this lens in May 2012, when I’d used this lens for about a year. I’ve recently delegated my beloved D7100 to backup travel body since going to full frame with a D850. I’ve been archiving and reviewing my shots recently, most taken with this lens. It simply is a workhorse that hasn’t disappointed. The images are respectably sharp with good contrast. The distortion, if any, isn’t really noticeable. Any chromatic aberration is acceptable. The range of the lens is outrageous... I mean 18-200... come on, that’s fantastic! I’ve got a collection of truly great Nikon glass, but this little beast of a lens is certainly a dependable favourite. I’ve compared it to a friend’s 18-300, and it appears a bit sharper. All in all, after 8 years and thousands of images, the lens has proven to be a reliable, great image quality, and fun lens to use. Five stars in 2012... five stars now...

LOVE this lens! It's the perfect all around lens. As a hobby photographer I should never need to switch lenses again! It replaced a good quality but much cheaper lens and the difference to me is astounding. I will NEVER buy anything but Nikon lenses and filters for my Nikon camera again. I also have the confidence that it was factory refurbished by Nikon with a 90 day warranty AND I saved hundreds of dollars. It's a win, win.

I got this to go with my Nikon D7500. It is the lens I use the most during the day. The wide range of focal lengths lets you properly frame a wide variety of subjects. Auto focus and stabilization have been excellent. The image I took here was taken looking straight up about 10 min after I got the lens I wanted to see what it could do and was not disappointed.

I purchased this lens after considering a Nikon 18-300 mm f/ 3.5- 5.6, Nikon f/3.5-6.3 and looked at the Sigma and Tamron equivalents 18-200, 18-300, 18-270. I chose this one because of its weight and the aperture range as a all around travel lens on my Nikon D90.

Not the first one I've had. The old one was 10 years old and was worn down from thousands of shots. Great overall carry around lens that does most of the work. Don't dismiss the bundle. Some nice stuff in the package, the Pro Optic lens wrap is really nice.

I enjoy taking nature pictures. My old zoom Len did not have a lock on it. This Len has a lock. Walking trails with my camera over my shoulder with this Len attached makes the adventure enjoyable. This Len takes great pictures also.
