Purchased 2 brand new binos for August trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons, but the halters I got to replace the strap only came with metal rings that I hate threading through the 'handles' as one cant avoid scraping so decided to get these.. non-marring and gentle on the finish.

I need a way to clean up my camera well using big lenses. My big lenses have and I use the straps on them taking the load off the camera. If I am using smaller lenses I like the strap this gave me the option of removing the camera strap quickly They take some effort to get them installed. I used hot water to soften them some.

The little metal connectors on most DSLR are too small and hard to feed a connector or cable into so these Op/Tech connectors once installed make attaching and detaching a camera strap much easier. They are a little stiff to feed into the camera but that keeps them from falling out. Trick to get them in is heat them up a little with hot water and they slip right in with a little pressure. Because they are malleable they won't break or crack when you push them into the camera.

Added the Connectors to my EOS 5D and EOS 5D Mk II. Most of the time the cameras are mounted on a tripod. The strap just gets in the way. I added swivel hooks to the camera straps. These Connectors let me attach the strap when I need it. I also added small continuous rings to the Connectors. The Connectors easily fit my EOS 5D and EOS 5D Mk II. They'll fit almost all DSLRs. The come 4 in a package so two cameras can be outfitted.

I know people have their reservations because they appear to be just little pieces of plastic, but trust me, your strap will break before these things do. The only drawback is that on some camera bodies they are a very tight fit to get through the loops. For example, on my T2i I was about ready to give up after 15 minutes of unsuccessfully being able to insert the product. But after soaking them in hot water for a few minutes to soften up I was able to squeeze them through. I guess the good thing about that is I know they fit so snugly I don't have to worry about them falling out without a lot of effort.

With the OP/TECH USA SYSTEM CONNECTORS, the camera/binocular owner has several connection options. You can buy an extra set of connectors to customize the strap to best suit your needs. Straps can be lengthened to be worn across the chest or shortened to be worn at chest level. Another feature of the SYSTEM CONNECTORS is the small carrying handle created when the quick disconnects of the SYSTEM CONNECTORS are latched together. The Utility Loop is ideal for adapting the UTILITY STRAP or other strap with snap hooks for use with a camera. Available in sets of two.
The new Uni-Loop Connectors allow users to have a universal system with many other OP/TECH USA products. They make switching from one strap configuration to another quicker and easier than ever before!
