A year ago I needed a carry on case on short notice and bought an SKB case locally. It, too, is a quality case but now, needing a second carry on case that my assistant can carry, I bought the Pelican in tan so they would be easily told apart. Comparing quality shows a couple of interesting points - the latches on the Pelican seem more secure and the hinge is also a bit more stiff. I am thinking it will loosen after a year or so of use. I found the pressure release button of the SKB case loose in the trunk of my car and cannot figure how it could have broken. SKB did replace it quickly and without question but, having some Pelican cases that are over 20 years old, I will continue to purchase them whenever possible.

The Airlines and baggage carriers are tough on baggage, so the best solution is a tough case for protection; If you can use this case as your carry-on you will know your gear is in good hands so Enjoy Travel and go with a Pelican carry-on case.

What I like most about this case is how it is built. It is strong enough to stand on, it is sealed against water and dust, holds a large body, four lens, two flashes, battery pack, meter and accessories. Others have complained about a flimsy handle but I don't agree. If there is any negative about the case, it is a little on the heavy side but that is due to the heavy duty construction.

This is my second Pelican 1510 case, and my first with the padded dividers. My first Pelican came with the foam insert, which I spent about a month customizing to fit my camera and equipment. The padded dividers took about 30 minutes to configure, and based on my first experience this past weekend, really do protect your equipment as well as the foam. And the watertight hard Pelican case is the best option out there for protecting your expensive camera equipment while on the road!

I bought this case to carry my snaplab but got the wrong size. Its also good to carry my camera equipment.

I own four of these 1510/1514 cases and two much larger Pelican camera cases and I think they're the best out there at least for my money they are. The large case is big enough to hold three camera systems with several lenses each which I'll be using this month for a trip to China. I used it the last time I went and every thing inside came back the same way as it was originally packed.

The case is heavy, but the handle allows you to roll the case.I have only used my case so far to store my camera equipment. So I have no report on how it does on transporting my equipment.

This case looks like just what I need for air travel with my camera gear. It is well padded, and the case seems to be very rugged and well sealed. My only nit is that the telescoping handle is a bit on the flimsy side, and will twist some when using. Only time will tell if this becomes an issue or remains a nit-pick.
