I bought this for a roll of black velvet but the cross bar/pole fit. I had to get some conduit at the hardware store. This reduces it to a set of stands. You could save yourself the money by using existing light stands and a piece of conduit. It should be fine for most seamless and fabric backgrounds that have the proper opening.

For the price you can’t beat this stand. It’s light weight and portable. The included bag is well designed with individual padded sleeves for the stands and retaining straps for the crossbar. Tall and wide enough for group shots. Very satisfied with the purchase

Savage makes and sells good quality equipment. Sure, I could have bought a background stand for about a third the price but you get what you pay for. I bought one of Savage's background stands and used and abused it. They will stand up to about anything you can give it (under normal circumstances).

I bought this stand to use as a backdrop for taking indoor pictures. I already have the camera, lights, and needed something to block my ugly, apartment walls. This stand is sturdy and requires little effort to assemble.

Easy to carry in the provided bag with shoulder strap. Sets up in seconds and comfortably holds background rolls up to 107". A definite improvement over the previous version,

Kit is great, but the 53" is only usable for close up and head shots. For full body or group shots you'll want to invest in the 107" Also, this doesn't come with anything to keep the paper from pulling itself down. There are no clips with the kit.

This works great as a very portable backdrop stand. I love the telescoping bar that adjust easily to any size. The white paper that came with it is just wide enough to shoot a simple headshot but I would not use this for much else as it is very narrow.
