When I received this, the loop to tighten the quick-release plate to the camera base broke off, but it's not been a problem building a replacement. Other than that, however, this tripod has been a great buy, and though it can be a little rickety when fully extended in a wind (as one would expect), it's got a hook for hanging weights or tethering the tripod down with a tent-stake and a piece of line. All-in-all, I'd recommend this for anyone looking for a cheap, light tripod for portraits or general banging around.

Very easy to use. Got some beautiful nightime shots of the Bay in New Brunswick thanks to this tripod.

• The quick release leg lock is a common feature to all Savage Tripods. Every tripod has the capability to hold a standard camera, a digital camera, or video camera.
