Shopper : Does this lens has VR ? (VR1) (I am asking about Nikon's image stabilization feature)BRIAN S : This lens does not have VR. It is, however, a great all-around lens. I love it.DANIEL P : Nope.. You have to spend another $175 for the VR version of the same lens.
Shopper : How can I get the Canon version of this lens?MICHAEL P : On the Adorama homepage, at the top left, enter "Sigma 18-200mm Canon". If they have it in stock it should appear. I recommend spending the extra money and getting the optic stabilzation "OS" model of this lens.
don L : Zoom Sigma Wide Angle Telephoto 18-200MM F/3.5-6.3 DC HSM Autofocus Lens Does this lens have VR capability? Compatibility: Nikon Digital SLR Cameras - 0.22x - 18mm to 200mm - f/3.5 to 6.3 - This high zoom ratio lens is exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras and capable of covering a wide range of focalDON G : No idea I gave this as a gift. SorryDANIEL H : No this model does not have VRMARK R : I have had my Sigma 18mm - 200mm f/3.5-6.3 II DC Autofocus lens for nearly a year now and have been very pleased with it. Most of my photos are out door action shots. The lens focuses fast and my images are crisp. The lens does not have a VR feature and I see no need and would not use it if it did. Good luck. MarkSABRINA R : no this lens does not have VR capability I believe only the Nikon ones do but nonetheless this lens is awesome!DANIEL P : Only if you buy the more expensive lens that is VR... This cheaper one isn't VR. They make another one that is, but it's another $150 or so.

Super Deal

Outstanding 18-200 lens. I tried the Nikon and Tamron equivilants and did not like either of them as much as this one. It's smaller, lighter, cheaper, and sharper. Great deal!

The Best 18-200 lens on the market.

This is the best 18-200 lens you can get. I've used the Nikon 18-200 VR and the Tamron 18-200, and this one beats both of them. It's smaller, lighter, more compact, more stable, and less expensive (by far) then those other lenses, and it doesn't creep relentlessly like the Nikon does. It's also much smaller, lighter, and less expensive then the Nikon. Thumbs up.

My favorite all around lens.

I was on a trip to the Galapagos, found this was a great lens that could do it all from landscapes to wildlife.I was a little leery about the auto focus speed,it was fast didn't miss a shot.I was happy with the clarity of the pictures from 18mm to200mm,just a nice all around light weight lens.

GREAT PREFERING +100+ I WOULD GET OS HSM

Only problem is at 200mm you will get vignetting and for 100 dlls more i wold rather get the OS HSM also the focusing system is loud. There is no much difference between this lens and the Nikon 18-135 very small difference for those 65mm

Excellent value

Excellent "vacation" lens. Focal length range makes it easy to have a single lens that works for a wide variety of situations. Stopped down 1 (or more) at either end of the focal length give excellent results. Even when used wide open results are very sharp. Focus is very fast & only hunts at the very extreme ends of it's use (full zoom & very dim light).

Perfect Shot

This lens makes picture taking simple. I love the fact that you don't have to continue to change lenses. I would highly recommend this lens to anyone interested in photography. Great choice, great price!

Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce the launch of the new 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC for Nikon. This high zoom ratio lens, designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras, covers wide angle to telephoto focal lengths. The built-in motor is capable of autofocusing with all Nikon DSLR cameras. Two SLD (Special Low Dispersion) lenses and two Aspherical glass elements provide excellent correction for all types of aberration. Sigma's super multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides high image quality throughoutthe zoom range. The compact and lightweight construction of 70mm (2.8") in diameter, 75.6mm (3.0") in length and 395g (13.9oz) makesit ideal for field work. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 45cm (17.7") and a maximum magnification of 1:4.4. An inner focusing system also eliminates front lens rotation, making this lens particularly suitable for using the petal lens hood and circular polarizing filters. A zoom lock switch mechanism is provided to prevent the lens from creeping due to its own weight.

What's in the box:

  • Petal-type Lens Hood
  • Front & Rear Lens Caps
  • 1 Year International Warranty plus 2 Year Sigma U.S.A. Extended Warranty (Total Warranty is 3 Year from Date of Purchase)
