Sharpest lens in my bag!
I've been blown away by the image quality of this lens. It's quickly become my favorite lens due to the F/2 speed and quality in this range. Decent amounts of vignetting when shot wide open but it's nothing Photoshop or stopping down a little doesn't fix.
Perfect... depending on application.
I'm sure you've heard of the prime vs zoom dilemma. There are lots of factors to which each can be good, and at the end of the day it depends on your application / shooting situation. For weddings I love the 24 & 50mm combo. But 35 is my overall favorite focal length. This lens gives me the ability to have "both" 24 and 35 on one body and my 50 on the other. The Sigma new 24-35mm lens incorporates the latest Sigma technology, including an optimized autofocus (AF) algorithm for smooth, fast, and accurate focusing, as well as manual focus (MF) override functionality. As with many Sigma Global Vision lenses, Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) compound material is used, which has a high affinity to metal parts, consistently performs well at extreme temperatures, and reduces the size and weight of the lens. In addition, its Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting, and provides sharp and high-contrast images, even in backlit conditions. It's ideal for close-up shooting, portraits and deep-focus landscape photography.

- Full-time MF by rotating the focus ring of the lens while auto focusing
