Overall a very good lens for action shooting. I am using it with an Olympus E-510. Lens has trouble focusing in low light gymnasiums

What is great about this lens? The constant 2.8 f-stop is the deal maker. At this price it was hard to resist. I also have the 18-50mm f2.8 Sigma lens and not having readjust all the camera settings when switching lenses is a real time saver. Another little thing I like is that even when in auto focus mode, you can effortlessly turn the focus ring and tweak the focus point. That is really helpful when the lens didn't lock on precisely what you wanted. Also my images come out as well as I could expect so all-in-all this is a good buy.

A little heavy after 2-3 hours of shooting. This lens is our moneymaker. Great for sports and that perfect close up photo that sets us apart from the competition. Worth every penny

I bought the lens in addition to the Sigma 50-500mm to have a faster lens for portrait photos and photos where light is an issue or movement such is in wildlife. I haven't got to use the lens as much as I like to test it fully, but have been pleased so far with the results. It's a little heavy but is well constructed but a monopod or tripod can take care of that issue.

I mainly use this lense for my son's gymnastics competitions. The apeture allows me to shoot at a higher shutter speed in lower light gyms. And also allows for a higher ISO for less noisy shots. The internal zoom is also a benefit in tight spaces. Great Sigma quality and the price isn't bad either.
