Questions & Answers

Shopper : does it come with a carry case?CHEUNG D : It comes with a nice carrying bag.THOMAS F : It's not a case really but a very well made bag with draw cords that let you slip it in close over a shoulder.STEVE B : I need to correct my answer! I does come with a stuff sack and a draw string/cord. The cord is very thick as to be able to put it over your shoulder I think. I forgot about it because the rope weighs so much, I didn't even consider using it. Sorry if this added to confusionQuoc-Duy N : It's not really a case but a thick nylon bag with a drawstring. I'm assuming they didn't give a (thickish padded) case because they were trying to keep the overall weight down. I believe this was designed for lightweight travel. Even the bag with the thick drawstring was too heavy for my backpacking trips. STEVE B : No carry case. Bought it specifically for backpacking and just returned from a week in the Cloud Peak Wilderness in Wyoming. Tripod performed very well, but was obviously not as stable as my regular tripod. I would not recommend as a "regular" tripod, but would highly recommend it where weight is critical. SCOTT L : Yes, it comes with a very well made bag. Overkill in my mind.
BRIAN L : So it can take other brand tripod heads then? Can it be purchased as just the tripod legs?DAVID Q : answer is Yes and maybe. not sure where you can get the tripod only.SCOTT L : Once you unscrew the ball head that comes with the tripod (which is a beautiful piece of work in itself) you find the tripod has a stud which can be removed and reversed giving you the option of 1/4 x 20 threads or 3/8 x 16 threads, thus allowing you to mount almost anything on the market to the top of the tripod. As to the availability of the legs alone, you'll have to ask the store. I repeat... I love this tripod. It is very light and very versatile and beautifully made. - Scott
BRIAN L : can the tripod-head be removed and replaced?CHEUNG D : Sure, just like any other regular tripod.MARTIN F : Yes, the head can be removed and replaced with a more robust one. I'm considering doing that myself.SCOTT L : Yes, it can. It just screws on like a normal ball head. This is a wonderful tripod.

Very high quality.....

Just right lightweight local use or travel tripod for systems within the rated weight load range. Everything slides, closes, tightens, retracts just the way you would want. Everything is nice and smooth in operation with no concerns.

Great Little Tripod

I bought this tripod specifically for travel and it is everything I hoped it would be--and more. I wasn't expecting to get a sling case, but one was included. I'm not using super heavy equipment. My primary camera is a Leica M Monochrom and my longest lens is a 90mm, so it is absolutely perfect for my system. I have no doubt that it would easily support a dSLR with up to a 300mm f/4 lens. The tripod fits into my backback travel case and will accompany me on all trips from now on. The legs extend and lock easily and the ballhead, while fairly small, does not slip once tightened. I could have paid twice as much for a name brand, but the Sirui is every bit as good.

Big enough (that's what she said)

I've been looking for a travel/backpacking tripod for years. Although I bought this for my G12, I'd consider using it with my DSLR in a pinch (with a backpack on the hook.) It's very well made, solid construction, and tiny... On a side note, shipping to Canada was super quick. Ordered on a Tuesday, received on a Thursday.

A must have for Travel Photography

Excellent tripod quality, very light weight, fold and extend really fast. Never heard of Sirui before but made a research about them and learned that they have a solid reputation regarding tripod quality in Germany, Canada and Asia. So, I thought I give it a shot and I'm glad I did because I was blown away by the quality, ease of use and stability of this tripod. I'm very happy with this product! If your looking for a tripod, don't hesitate to give Sirui T025 a try... you won't be dissappointed!

The SIRUI T-025 Carbon 5 Section Tripod outfit was specially designed for today's point and shoot digital cameras, DSLRs and compact camcorders. SIRUI T-025 tripods have a shiny, colorful appearance that almost makes them look like works of art! And their compact size - only 30cm (11.8 in.) when folded! - is 20-30% smaller than other similar style tripods. There's always room for one of these tiny wonders in your bag or backpack!

Even though they are compact, these impressive tripods can still extend to over 130cm (51.4 in.) - perfect for most shooting situations. Like the professional line of SIRUI tripods, there is no compromise in quality. Aluminum alloy parts are high temperature forged for maximum strength and SIRUI's custom anodized surface treatment insures superior wear and corrosion resistance.
