Great lightweight Mount

Although the previous review was not good due to the plastic construction, that is exactly why I like these. I have stonger mounts for my monolights, but for my Nikon SB800s, or my Quantum T5Dr Strobes on some lightweight stands, and Westcott folding 45" umbrellas, this is the ideal mount. Cheap, and Light, yet they have never proved too light. For portable Flash or budget studio, they are hard to beat.

Dissapointing.

I bought 2 different umbrella mount with threaded tops, this one costed a bit more (just a little bit) I don't like it, its made of cheap plastic and it really feels that way, the securing disc in the thread is almost useless, I had a speedlite in the top of it and I guess the thread wasn't well done because the thing was woobling when I was moving around with the tripod stand. Better look somewhere else, you don't want to trust your studio lights to this thing.

Use to mount your light and umbrella onto a stand or tripod. Allows light to swivel back and forth 90½ and lock with ratchet handle. 1/4x20 screw on top with locking mechanism and 1/4x20 opening on bottom.
