Shopper : can this be used with a smart phone?ANDREW R : Not directly. You'd also need an appropriate mount/adapter (not included).
Shopper : Where is the shutter ?RINDY A : Perhaps I am misunderstanding the shopper's questions, but there is no camera with this. The item is just a tripod - handheld for a "selfie" if you will... One mounts their camera on the screw post, as most all cameras had a threaded recepticle for such a purpose that is a standard size. When finished, one simply screw off their camera.CANDICE A : The way you line up the handle to do a selfie is it has a little oval mirror just under where the handle attaches to the camera. Its just big enough that you can see yourself and line up the camera to get a perfect picture every time. I hope this answers your question. I love my Quik Pod and it is always attached to me camera, it has a strap so it just makes it easy to keep my camera out and ready all the time when walking around a car show!

A Pure Novelty Item

It's great when you want to use a point and shoot to take a photo of you and your significant other or a small group and there's no one extra to operate the camera. The small reflective surface used to aim the camera could be larger.
