After I got my Z 800mm lens, I was pushed out of my usual beaten up camera bags. It's not an ordinary beast to carry with a Z9 attached. The Backlight 36L gobbled up the whole lot with plenty of space for so many more lenses. It felt like a compact SUV from the outside but with plenty of space on the inside. It carries so snug close to the back & I can walk miles without knowing it's on my back. After spending such a long time with the bag, I still haven't figured out what's there not to love it. So glad I bought into the Think Tank Ecosystem. Really superbly designed & made.

A bit tight for the RF 800 mm 5.6, but it works! I made a nice grab-and-go birding kit with the Glass Limo.

I used this this backpack for accessory gear (star tracker, filters, etc.) and personal items as my personal bag for a commercial flight. My cameras and lenses were in my carry on airport advantage bag, also a Think Tank. At the gate I was advised the overhead was full and needed to check my Airport Advantage Bag. Since that gear was most fragile, I had to "stuff" a couple cameras, laptop, a couple lenses into the backpack because I didn't want to check those items. The backpack was extremely heavy and I thought I had exceeded the packs ability to hold it all and get it zipped. It held up through hours and hours of running through airports. The backpack held it's shape, the zippers remained strong. The airport bag with wheels that I had to check also survived the baggage handlers and flight transfers. I tried to shop smart to make sure both bags were "under" the size limit for personal and carry on, but it didn't work out this trip.

Great while I had the lens. Protection and relatively light weight. Never gave me any problems and I trusted it was going to protect the lens better than anything else I had on hand.

I originally bought the Backlight 36L for my 500F4II because it was pretty much the only backpack that would fit my 500F4II and with my Canon R5 camera attached. Unfortunately the 36L is twice as heavy as the Glas Limo so I've been looking at this backpack for a while now before deciding to get one. Happy to report that my set up with the lens and camera plus the EF to R adapter all fits in the bag attached. There is no wiggle room at the top of the bag so it fits real snug. Haven't been able to try it out with the gear inside for more than a few times but I do wish the shoulder straps were a bit softer. They feel rigid, a litle uncomfortable. Same with the 36L. I tried another backpack, another brand that was way softer, and this is a very popular brand with internal ICUs. Not sure what's going on with Think Tanks shoulder straps. Might need to get a third party shoulder strap pads to go on the backpacks own straps for more cushion.

I own three Glass Limos. One each for a 300mm f/2.8, 400mm f/2.8 and an 800mm f/5.6. All Canon glass. I've looked at all of the long lens soft packs on the market and the Think Tank Photo Glass Limo beats them all in price, design, weight, functionality and engineering. Think Tank Photo needs to stay true to it's very loyal customer base and keep this large lens pack in the line up. Most important of all, Think Tank Photo needs resist the generational temptation to make changes to the Glass Limo just for the sake of making changes. The Glass Limo is an exceptionally good product. It is not broken and it does not need to be fixed.

After buying my Sony 400/2.8 I began what seemed like an impossible task: Finding a backpack that would adequately protect the camera and lens, be comfortable to wear for extended periods, and meet the carry-on requirements of ALL airlines, including international flights. I bought and returned more than a dozen packs in the process. Some had ample protection but were well over carry-on dimensions, putting me at risk of having to gate check the pack. Others were very uncomfortable to wear, and some were just a real hassle to get the rig in and out of efficiently. I knew within 5 minutes of receiving the Glass Limo that it addressed all my issues. Easily the smallest and lightest of all the packs I tried, yet very easy to get in and out of quickly. The camera floats within the pack putting no strain at all on the lens mount. I also managed to squeeze a pouch inside that holds both my teleconverters and a Blackrapid strap, so it's a fully functional big lens kit in a single bag. My only complaint was that the waist belt is not really adequate to support the load on the hips, but I swapped it out for a Pro Speed Belt and that solved that. I can highly recommend this pack if you need to hike and/or fly with a big lens.

The pack couldn't have worked better for the old Canon 500mm lens, even with the Canon to emount adapter attached. There was room on the top/ sides to include a little Canon 1/4 extender case. It was lightweight and durable with lots of straps to hug my torso. A must buy for lugging around this heavy lens!!

I loved it so much I have two. It is perfect for the Sony 200-600 mm lens with camera attached. I am able to place a small case for SD cards, puffer, Lens cleaner cloth and solution. The front of the bag can be used for what-not’s as well.

Limo, heck... this is a stretch Limo! An elegantly effective way to get big glass to the big dance comfortably. Easily handles my 400 2.8 e with a 1.7tc and gripped or pro body.

I recently purchased a Canon 500mm f/4 II and needed a manageable bag to carry and protect my gear. Slightly worried about keeping my 7Dmk II and 1.4x tele extender attached to the lens, but it all fits perfectly if the camera body is rotated sideways. There is still room in the main compartment for a few odds and ends. Excellent build quality, and very comfortable on my back. Thank you thinkTANK. Outstanding product.

I use the Limo for my lovely MF Nikkor 600mm f5.6 with attached body and battery grip. And there is still space inside for an additional converters. Additionally this is not great only for a big lens, also great as a standard backpack for two cameras and plenty lenses. It'd be nice if it had a pocket for a tablet or even better 13"Mac Book Pro but you can't have everything, right? Very very satisfied and warmly recommend. Good job, Think Tank, this is a real gem!

I purchased this bag for my new Nikon 400 mm, FL and my D5 to carry my equipment to football games in my sports photography business. My camera and attached lens fit perfectly and is now easier to transport and is protected. This bag is extremely well built and includes all the needed pockets and slots for the additional items that I will use. My RRS monopod fits perfectly and safely on the bad as well. I highly recommend this gag and Think Tank Photo. Their customer service is unequalled in my opinion. I had a problem with a prior bag and they quickly replaced it with a new one.

The back pack really carried the weight comfortably - I used the Pro Belt and it was not heavy for me carrying the Canon 500 mm f/4. I wished it was a little easier to get the lens back in the pack. It worked better if the pack was “standing” up - maybe a video showing that with a lens attached to camera might help customers.

Demonstrates great construction and solid protection. Like the modular pouch compatibility. It WILL hold a D5 4002.8 FL with the lens attached. (Tested, verified, and a perfect fit.) With a TC14E it's a little snug but still fits. No wasted space.

I've used the Glass Taxi + other ThinkTank bags/pouches for ions and needed a lightweight shooting bag for the Canon 500mm II + 1Dx combo. With dividers and belt strap removed, it fits the bill at 2.5 lbs. But to my surprise, I'll be able to use it as a short haul travel bag as well. Using neoprene covers, it fits 2 bodies (1 pro/1 regular), a 500/70-200, 1.4/2.0 TC, a G3x and a set of spare batteries. Unbelievable!

Like many photographers, I own many Think Tank bags - I needed a bag to carry my Nikon 200mm F2 VR2 lens, but also carry other lenses as well, and the Glass Limo fit the bill. With some creative re-arranging of the dividers, I can carry my 200F2, Nikon D810 (unattached from the 200F2), Nikon 14-24mm, Nikon 24-70mm, and also a Fuji X-100T. I also crammed in a couple of lightweight shirts (one I had bought at an event I was photographing and one in case it cooled down) alongside the 200F2. Along with my monopod strapped to the outside, and the usual batteries/cards/lens cleaning stuff in the front small pocket, I was set for a day of shooting with everything I needed. I wish the front pocket was a little longer, but that's about it. I love how narrow it is, which makes getting in and out of crowds (and transportation) a piece of cake. Like all Think Tank products, it is well-designed and constructed, and in a class by itself.

I have had TT gear for years and have many of the belt system pouches which gives me options and versatility for my landscape, sports and wildlife photography. I shoot in a variety of weather conditions and access my subjects while hiking, biking and skiing. Half the time I shoot with the pack on my back. I don't own any big glass but the depth and narrow width of the Limo allows access through the trees and narrow trails while carrying a tripod and various gear and several prime lenses in the pack and in additional pouches. The rain covers for all the TT gear are easy to deploy and effective. The secret weapon for this pack is adding a steroid speed belt which gives unconditional support and control while carrying any type of loads. It gives you that highly refined backpack with awesome hip belt feel plus the ability to add any of the TT or Mindshift Gear pouches. My favorite pouches I use with the Limo are the Hubba Hubba Hiney, Body Bag , LC 300 (don't make it anymore?) and the Mindshift Filterhive. I use them to carry extra clothes, lunch, filters and lenses. With all those pouches mounted to the belt and the back both sides are open for a tripod or monopod or more pouches! You make the choice depending what you want to carry. Tripod access is fast and easy and most of all secure. This will be a lifetime pack for me, especially with the steroid speed belt which is a GAMECHANGER for this pack!

I've been using a Glass taxi + a small roller but still had to put a couple of heavy heads and parts in my checked bag which would always be a max weight. With the Glass Limo I put my Nikkor 400 2.8 AFS II which was all I had in the taxi plus D810 w/L bracket & charger plus 105 DC, 50AFS, 20AFS,15mm AIS, 28mmAIS, TC14E, TC20EIII, a Kirk super grip, filter case, plus small accessories in the inside pockets. All this and if needed will fit easily under the seat. I also love the three modular attachment points if I ever need them. This item rocks. framer

I purchased this product to fit my Nikon D750 and Sigma 150-600 S in. It was long enough for the hood to be in place ready for action. Have a lot of ThinkTank products and this did not let me down.

I recently bought a Lens Limo knowing that a Canon 600mm f4 was in my future. Yes I bought the bag before I bought the lens. Why? Because it was a ThinkTank and I knew that was what I would use. I now have the lens and just put the package together. I will be going on a safari in November and the domestic airlines in Southern Africa severely tightened their carry on restrictions. For domestic flights the carry on can now not weigh more than 7 kg and a "personal item" can only be a slimline laptop case. So how do you get all of your gear there? You buy ThinkTank. The Lens Limo with the 600 f4 with a monopod and head attached weighed in at 6.65 kg giving me some space for some accessories. The total dimensions are 100 cm, just under the maximum allowed of 115 cm. With the modular belt and pouches (and a little creativity) I think I can get everything else on board by carrying it on my person. Of course the My 2nd Brain is my slimline laptop case. The ThinkTank products are superbly made and stand up to the demanding conditions encountered while traveling internationally. Something else about all of the ThinkTank backpacks I have that separates them from other packs is that when you take them off and set them down, they actually stand up instead of falling over. I have also dealt with ThinkTank's customer service reps and they are as good as the product they represent!

Excellent fit for 1dx mark ii with 400mm 1.28L is, easy to carry on my back, highly recommend
The Think Tank Glass Limo Backpack is the smallest and lightest backpack specifically designed for long lenses; its narrow, lightweight design makes life easier when traveling with long lenses. Compatible with Think Tank Photo Modular Belts and Components, the Glass Limo has three Modular rails for adding accessory pouches. Using the harness design from the award winning StreetWalker backpack, the contoured, fully adjustable harness fits virtually everyone comfortably.
By removing the specialized yoke-collar and support ring, the interior can be customized with the included dividers to carry a surprising amount of traditional gear: a standard pro kit with pro DSLR and 5-8 lenses.
