This was a fantastic purchase. I bought it recently after purchasing a smaller pelican case that is good for less equipment and realizing I needed more space. This large pelican fits everything you need, it's very secure, hard and will protect all of your valuable equipment. Strongly recommend.

I am pleased with this as I have always been happy with Pelican products. I work where dust is a much bigger problem than water but since this is water tight, it is also dust tight. I wish I had ordered the pick foam because the adjustable devideres don't match up well with my equipment. I recommend this case.

Great product & great value! Solid & amazing case! Pretty hefty once the equipment is in but you know it’s protected by this tank of a case.

I bought this to transport my Sky-Watcher EQ6R-Pro which is the right size for it. The original foam can be cut on the edges by a few inches to fit it perfectly. This would be ideal and more sturdy but still soft compared to the foam that comes with the Pelican. I suggest purchasing the case without the stock foam and reuse EQ6R-Pro packing foam. This thing is much more expensive than the Home Depot Husky Job Box but it is not so wide and does not take up more space in the vehicle when transporting you gear.

Perfect case for camera and drone equipment. I selected the yellow padded dividers since I can change the configuration for different items and will last for years and years.

Love my new Pelican 1650 with Trek-Pak dividers. Very customizable, I have set mine up to hold 4 professional strobes with reflectors and other accessories. I also purchased the lid organizer, it’s great for smaller accessories. Awesome case!!!!!!

Its a great case, but if you take it on a plane, get ready to fork out $ for oversize/overweight baggage. It's heavy.

I use this 1650 specifically to transport and protect my Elinchrom Ranger RX pack, two heads, extra battery, extension cable and charger (with careful selection of the foam removal, all fits perfectly). I've yet have a Pelican case disappoint me and I'll continue to buy them as long as I need to protect my equipment. It is heavier than other cases, but its build quality provides me with peace-of-mind. Plus, the wheels help offset the weight issue.

I use this to transport 3 Paul Buff Einstein strobes, cords, Vagabond power packs and other accessories to and from location. No problem at all tailoring it for this purpose. I would trust this case with another strobe, no problem. Some reviewers have also added softboxes and the like, but if you just use it for strobes and power packs, you can easily put in 3-4 lights, if not more if you pack tightly. Yeah, it's heavy---but I think it needs to be to provide all of this amazing, water-proof protection. You want it to be beefy to give you peace of mind during transport.

The case is exactly what you have imagined it should be...Strong..Durable...with plenty of Storage for your gear...as well as, the ease of transporting it to gigs and such. It can get a bit heavy depending on how much gear that you actually load into it. However, it is heaven to be able to fit in all the gear you need...and get to it when you need it with the organization of the padded dividers. Thanks Adorama!!

I use this case to store all of my photo gear, lenses, bodies, etc. It has tons of room and is very protective. The fact that it is water tight protects it from moisture. It is a little big but I have room to buy more lenses and they make smaller models if thats your preference.

I use the Pelican case to transport my sensitive camera gear to and from shoots without a worry. Save the possibility of a nuclear strike - my equipment is safe. The wheels and handled make it a cinch to move around venues. This case is quite strong and I would recommend it to anyone who needs a protective case for their gear!

I use this Case everyday,It makes my life easier by allowing me to carry all my lights onto a shoot and know they are protected and that I have at a moments notice to use any light. I love my case and I know they are built to last a lifetime. So no more worrying about buying another piece of equipment later on.When money is tight in today's economy buying the right piece can and does make a difference.

Great case, Pelican makes the best stuff! I use it to hold my 3 Alien Bees, as well as Pocket Wizards, battery pack, super clamps, magic arm, as well as a smaller case with additional cords, business cards, zip ties, pens. It gets heavy with everything in it, so get the one with wheels! It holds everything I need for on location lighting besides a duffel bag I have for cords and the light stand cases. It fits in my car nicely too. Wonderful product for any gear. Only bad thing is the latches are loud when opened or closed, not good for leaving the house early in the morning, wakes people up :) But thats how you know they are strong, and locked, so its not really a problem for me.

The case is the usual excellent Pelican quality. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the padded dividers. I have previously bought two 1660 and two 1510 cases with padded dividers. Those dividers were assembled and of good quality complete with convoluted foam in the lid. The 1650 arrived with a plastic bag of flattened assemble it yourself divider set and no lid foam. The dividers are difficult to assemble because they are of a lower quality. Its a shame Pelican is willing to sacrifice the quality of the dividers to save a few pennies.

I transport extremely valueable television equipment on a continuous basis. I wouldn't trust my equipment in other case. Pelican's lifetime warranty is beyond belief. When I had a couple of broken latches Pelican offered to replace the case at no charge. I opted to receive replacement latches. I received them the next day, with spares, and at no cost. They are just the best in every way. There's no better way to store and/or ship your equipment.

Use this case only if you want to protect what's important to you. This case is only limited to your imagination. The pelican 1650 will last a life time!

This is the case Celestron recommends for the C5+ optical tube plus single arm fork maount (what I have) and the C8 optical tube only. The case is "hell for stout" and I don't worry about my scope when it's in the case. I now use the C5 OTA on an Orion SkyView Pro mount. The mount head and couterweight fit in the case along with my C5 OTA. It's a bit heavier than before, but still makes a reasonable package. To accommodate the new setup, I purchased a second foam set. I like the foam in the larger Pelican cases because it's much stiffer than what they (and other brands) put in their smaller cases.

I own a Celestron Nexstar 8i SCT astronomical telescope and wanted a sturdy case to give maximum protection for the telescope with a minimun amount of disassembly required to contain it for transportation. [...]The Pelican case has proved to be everything as advertised and just what I needed to safely and conveniently transport my scope whether for a short trip accoss town or hundreds of miles to distant dark locations for optimum viewing. The case is a bit heavy, but this would seem to be a given for those looking for the type of protection that it provides. Fortunately the smooth-rolling wheels greatly reduce the need to carry the case with the scope from place to place. In summary, I am very satisfied with this product with respect to function, quality of construction, and price. [...]
