This is an overdue review, the AD200 flashes have been rock solid from day one. Battery life is amazing, I can shoot in studio all day and not have to change out the battery. The color from the lights have been consistent unlike the strobes I used to used that had variations between almost every photo. I would highly recommend these flash units to anyone with a small studio.

There is a reason that this light is so popular, compact, two hundred watts, and it's under 400 dollars! No one comes close to the quality and durability of this light. You can swap out the heads that no other brand has come up with the Fresnel and bare bulb heads. Buy the light stand bracket so you can slide the ad200 so you can put it on the light stand and you any of the light modifiers to it. Godox has come up with a winner. Just buy the damn thing.

I love this unit. It's powerful and compact. I gave it four stars because the one big drawback is the rather dim led screen is; it's hard to see in anything but in dim overall lighting. Bright sunlight makes it almost impossible for me.

I LOVE these lights. These little guys pack a punch and they're crazy inexpensive. They're fully-featured, share an ecosystem of accessories, and are reliable. I also like their light weight, which makes booming them over a scene really easy. There's no better value for your money, just buy them already.

Good, pretty durable, but if you use it every day (like I do), eventually the capacitors lose there max capacity pretty quickly. So I have a couple of them that are about a stop less bright than my newest ones. Doesn't seem to be any way to refresh the capacitors. Also, get occasional misfires when using the 2.4Ghz triggers.

Great little lights and the battery life is unbelievable - for example used two of these into two 61" umbrellas to do 100 headshots the battery indicator still showed full. I use these with the bare bulb for the most part, either into an umbrella or softbox.

Purchased 5 total, Flashpoint eVOLV 200 units on sale over the past couple of years! They provide consistent, quality light and the batteries last forever! No need to "upgrade" to the newer "Pro" version if you already have these, or want to save a couple $$$'s. A large part of my business is simple to complex, corporate headshots on location. The trigger also fires the Flashpoint, on/off camera flashes which can then also be used as hair lights. So many lighting options at a fraction of the cost of my 600w, DC powered monolights. In fact, my 600w and 400w monolights rarely make it off the storage shelves anymore as these convenient, 200w provide more than enough in studio light, and one or two provide the perfect amount of fill flash on most of my outdoor shoots. I now prefer a single eVOLV 200 outdoors, mid-day in harsh sunlight over my DC powered, 600w and 400w monolights mostly for the convenience and ease of handling. Just have the subject's back to the sun or might have to find a spot of slight shade.

These are extremely popular for a reason: They are powerful, convenient, and because they have both a Fresnel head and a bare bulb head, they are flexible. Adding to that flexibility is the ability to gang TWO of them together in a single head attachment to increase the power. The reason I give them four instead of five stars is because the LCD screen on the back is pretty dim most of the time, so hard to see the settings, and more importantly, one of the two that I own seems to be a bit under-powered (about 2/3rds of a stop) compared to the other flash. Overall, a good flash gun, but do make sure to measure the output of your flash guns within the return period, just in case.

With some simple online instruction I found the eVOLV 200 easy to use and a great addition to my equipment. And adding the Flashpoint R2 Pro MarkII 2.4GHz Transmitter for Canon made it even easier on a recent shoot using it as a hair light by not having to raise and lower the light stand to change output. I?m stoked with this product!
