Adding this mono light to my to my kit of 3 - 500BX Ri units, this gives me ability to have a lower power unit that I can use as a main or background light. So far this unit has proved to be an excellent choice. Maybe the only thing that is "buggy", is that the ready "beep" doesn't seem to have a off switch, like the BX Ri units offer. Otherwise, it is a great light weight strobe that works perfectly well and works well with the Skyport transmitter.

I use this D-Lite system (4 lights) in my small studio. They are sufficiently powerfull for my use - portraits - are very easy to use and provide a very consistant output. I purchased the first of these lights as a kit that was attractively priced. I was attracted to Elinchrome because of company reputation and because they provide an extensive line of expensive yet effective support equipment such as reflectors, snoots, soft boxes, etc.
