Sharp and solid for a plastic lens. Very small but easy to handle. No manual focus and plastic mount are the downside. Overall good quality for a small lens.

The lens is very easy to use and operate and has great quality glass. The outer casing that controls the focal range is glued on and the glue separated on my lens rendering it useless. I spoke with several other people with this lens that had a similar issue. Very difficult to get answers about repairs and the next steps to making this product usable.

This is the lens to get if you want a standard zoom that folds up almost to a pancake. The aperture range is not great, especially considering the modest dof and low-light performance of m43 cameras, but it is a competent standard zoom in an extremely compact format, a perfect match for somebody moving up from a compact to a G-series camera. The stabilization and sharpness are great and my greatest concern about the lens, primarily for video use, is that it cannot be manually zoomed - in camera or directly on lens - which makes it difficult to use with manual-only slowmo imaging on a GH4.

I use this primarily on a GM1 when traveling or when I am out and about with my baby. It's a perfect combination for extremely light but high quality photos - it's a surprisingly sharp lens for the size and collapsible pancake style. Very highly recommended because it lets me take an m4/3 sensor with me even when I have very little space; can stuff the GM1 + 12-32 in a small-ish lens pouch and put that in an interior backpack pocket. Great value and very versatie.

It's all about size, and yes it matters. This lens lets in the light necessary to take great low light pictures and keeps my camera super compact. Great lenses for portraits!
