I bought this tripod because of the stated 15 pound weight capacity. No way is this tripod able to handle 15 pounds. My 6 pound Kowa 66 wobbled like a duck on it. The legs are great on this tripod. The noninterchangeable plastic head is the culprit. If you are using a small digital camera on this then you will probably like it, but medium format and digital SLR users beware.

I am somewhat new to photography and shoot with a Canon 30D. This tripod is sturdy and has good height to it. It lacks a hook on the center column to add weight when needed but overall this tripod works well indoors and outdoors.
