Great for reviewing slides
I purchased this to review slides that I wanted to convert to digital. Convenient, simple, and fast.

Did not work
I received the Pana-Vue #1, made sure the batteries were inserted correctly, then put in a slide. Nothing. Put the batteries in another device to make sure the batteries were okay. Put the bulb in a flashlight to make sure the bulb was okay. Everything checked out, but I could not get this thing to work. Then I went to work trying to figure out how this slide viewer got its juice. I was able to discern that a connection was not being made and I bent one of the copper connectors so the existing gap was no longer there. I got it working but, really, this is a VERY poorly made product and the electrical design looks like something out of the early days of electricity. Now that I have it working, the image of the slides is slightly distorted and not bright enough. Don't waste your money.

Low cost and easy to use
This slide viewer is useful for going through thousands of slides to determine their appropriateness for more lasting applications.

useful item to sort mixed up slides
item was used to sort mixed up slides to transfer to a DVD. Would recommend this item to a friend.

Easy to use-compact - economical
It doesn't occupy a lot of space - quick to use. I previewed nearly 500 slides in a couple of afternoons - 2-3 hours at a time.

Does just what I bought it to do!
This viewer does exactly what I wanted it to do. I am able to look at I don't know how many hundred slides taken over the last 50 years and pick the ones that I want to convert/scan to digital. I can do that and keep the original too. Wonderful!!

Would not operate when recieved!
Intended to use to revirew old 35mm slides prior to digitizing them.

It works as advertised.
More magnification would be nice, but this product does what it was designed to do rather well.
