I love this style of clamp, and I think all ballheads should come with these. In my opinion, they're superior in every way to the claps with a knob. Unfortunately, not too many manufacturers have these. I purchased this clamp to replace the one on my Sirui ballhead. Works great and feels like a quality product. I do have some criticisms though. Firstly the price. While these are about half the price of an RRS quick release clamp, they are still too expensive for what they are. I think $ is more than reasonable. $ is way too much. And don't even get me started on the price of the RRS clamp. Total ripoff as far as I'm concerned. My next gripe is the size and shape of the release lever. They could have made it half the thickness and made it protrude less. This size is bordering on too big. Lastly is the orange color. I feel like they should offer a more subdued color option like gray or plain black. Not all of us are trying to make a "look at my gear!" statement.

Great product, good quality, very light and easy to assamble in any Tripod. The quick release works fine and keeps you gear safe.

I love my 3 Legged Thing tripod. The Equinox enable me to make even faster lens and camera changes than the screw clamp release. Adorama is a great vendor, easy to navigate web site, great selection and prices, and they ship right away.

This product did not come with any instructions and I couldn't find any online. One piece was easy to install to my tripod, and I'm guessing the other piece is supposed to install on my camera but I couldn't find a way to do that. I couldn't even find a video about it online. I finally was able to attach my camera to the quick release without using the other attachment and it seems to be working fine so I guess I just didn't need that other piece.

Replaces Manfotto QR System I’ve had for over 25 years. Purchased the Manfrotto L-Bracket last year and found it much to big,heavy, and blocking the battery. I wanted to switch to the Arca type QR mount for a smaller, lighter L-bracket . Three Legged Thing had what I was looking for at a reasonable price. I purchased the tripod QR mount and universal L-bracket. I am very satisfied. Highly recommend.
